Only stayed for the night. Enjoyed the Tiki Bar/Lounge. Arrived later in the afternoon, so I got to have a couple happy hour beverages and a bite to eat. Left early the next morning. Ice machine was out of order on my floor. Overall, it was fine for my stay.

When we arrived to the property the room that were put in did not have a function door panel. Our key cards would not work. We called maintenance they worked on it. They said it would work and then the next morning it did not work, and we had to go back to the front desk to have them call maintenance again. This went on for 3 days and we had to call maintenance 7 times each time to get into our room before they moved us rooms. They did not offer any support or discount for the inconvenience. They never once came by to clean our room even though our door hanger said we wanted it cleaned. They do not tell you about the free waters you are supposed to get, they do not offer breakfast vouchers for your stay. My friend had cockroaches in her room. They gave away another friends room. Honestly, I would just pay more for a better place rather than staying here where they post cheaper rooms, but it's not worth the extra charges you receive and the multiple inconveniences without being offered any sort of a discount.

At first I was given a "ocean view" room that had no view except of the bungalows in front of it. It appeared to have been a mistake by the staff and was corrected. This was AFTER I was informed that "the beach was closed" and there was no access. Weather was the reason given. The only 2 reasons we CHOSE to stay at this property. We found out later, that the waste water treatment plant that is located next door to this property had gone into bypass because of the weather. So the whole area (public beach included ) was being chlorinated. This obviously was not in Hilton's control. However the public beach was closed as was the open area of their property. We were still charged a "resort" fee. On top of an undisclosed parking fee. Wouldn't it be nice if I didn't have a car to park to use the overpriced room. When we went to use the wifi unless you're a preferred member it tells you that you "might" be charged and basically everything you do can be monitored and used as they please (but isn't that standard these days.....it called marketing) Then when you decide not to agree it tells you the wifi is free for your stay. Imagine that free wifi and paid parking. Would definitely NOT recommend)

Beyond expectations!
Amazing stay! We were expecting a run of the mill 3 star Hilton but this was very beautiful. Built like a true Hawaiian resort. Service was great and staff was very friendly. They have two small- medium pools, hot tub on site. Couple of restaurants. Lydgate beach is walking distance. The staff gave us an upgrade and we got a room facing on of the pools. They have beach towels, coolers etc. for guests. Location is excellent, close to airport and lots of restaurants. One thing to note- Hotels.com info listed parking included in the resort fee. When we arrived the staff informed that was outdated and incorrect. They gave us an exception since our confirmation page showed it as included ($25 per day) but something to be aware of.

Very convenient location right beside Lydgate Beach Park. Food service is very limited although the items I ordered were good. The hotel itself is dated. And the resort fee is a joke—it got me two promotional water bottles and a pool towel.

No patio!
The staff were wonderful and very friendly, the room was clean, but the pictures in the adds were deceiving, as it looks like rooms have a patio. They DO NOT. They have a sliding window that opens up to the sea breeze, with a big black metal frame right in the middle of your sight line if you’re sitting down looking out. The only rooms with patio is the ground floor.

customer service. Treated like a left over. The first room was on the lowest floor looking at a service truck. We asked for a room with a tub and they moved us up one floor looking at the top of truck. We were there for three full days and two half days and when we checked out they tried to charge me $608.00 for hotel amenites. We were never there. Prior to getting to the hotel experience we stopped at a counter for Hawian Airlines in Maui to simply ask how do we pick our seats for our return flight back to Seatac and we were told by customer service ,who looked at our flight, that we had not rights or ability to ask for seats. He we were nothing and we would get what they decided.

The staff were very friendly and the property has direct access to the beach. We could walk to several different places to eat and coffee shops. There is a Safeway near by to things you may need.

Great place to stay! Good food and great staff. Only complaint is the parking and resort fees but at checkout. The hotel is away from anyone wanting to park there. There’s not security and plenty of parking. They don’t need to nickel and dime you for it $25 a day!!
