Hotel Gracery Shinjuku
"My son and I visited Shinjuku as our base for exploring Tokyo for 2 nights. We stayed on the special 30th floor, which is all Godzilla themed. The Hotel Gracery is a fun, convenient hotel with Godzilla theming. Godzilla is ever present in the hotel lobby and there is a giant Godzilla head on a terrace outside. (note that during our visit in late May 2026 the terrace was closed for some reason -- if seeing the head up close is important to you, maybe contact the hotel in advance to ensure it is open). There are Godzilla items available for purchase at the hotel as well as in the 7 Eleven downstairs. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful and very at ease with visitors from the US. The room was a good size (even for US visitors, who are generally used to larger rooms than what is common in Japan). We had 2 beds and there was no evidence of smoking in our non-smoking room. One fun thing, the toilet and shower were in separate rooms and the shower room was basically a self-contained shower / tub combo room that was fun to use. The hotel is located centrally in Shinjuku, which has everything you could possibly need within walking distance. side note: good luck navigating the Shinjuku station! :-)"
