When I write a review, I am very careful to state facts, in regards to issues and feelings when celebrating successes. I realize that each individual reading the review will have their own measurement of standards. The Marriot has never disappointed me, until now. FACT: This is a pet friendly hotel. We are not currently pet owners but we do have a level of understanding & expectation management for those that bring their fur-babies on trips. We did not expect to be bitten by ticks and find them in the bed. No new room was offered just the promise of a deep cleaning. Not sure how well that went since we caught one and turned it over to housekeeping but still got bit 3 more times. FACTS: The TV didn't work, come on, get warm nor make a sound. Simply broke. FACTS: The bathroom vanity outlet, the nightstand USB port for a charger and a table outlet didn't work. The vanity outlet had been repaired but spray painted over it to make it look white again. (Likely why it didn't work) FACTS: Very old in appearance, bootleg repair, damaged

The room was beyond neglected. Carpet was grimy and white particles on corner looked like sheet rock chalk on carpet. Can’t walk bare feet since felt like carpet was sticky and my feet got itchy. Broken bed frame and there’s a hole by headboard that was covered by white tape and even tape was broken also. One side outlet did not work with USB AC plug not working. Faucet had calcium deposits like it was never cleaned for months

The room looked old and tired and needs a total redo. The refrigerator barely kept sodas cool, definitely not cold. The thermostat seemed to have a mind of its own and did not hold the temperature wanted. On the plus side the staff including housekeeping were very friendly and helpful.
