"Love the Westbury - it has everything!"
I loved the Westbury - you can't beat the location, it's conveniently located to Stephen's Green, Trinity College, tons of restaurants, the lewis, etc... The staff is super friendly and helpful. They even gave my nephew who was 21 months a cuddly little teddy bear which he named after Daniel the gentleman that gave it to him. The room was beautiful, spacious and the bed was really comfortable. If it's your first or tenth time to Dublin, the Westbury is a great place to stay. They also offer high tea which was lovely.

"Great service , Great location , Great stay "
I flew in from USA. Before I left I requested an early check in because of the length of travel time to get there and check in is not until 3. Of course , they cannot gaurentee . When I arrived , I was greeted by Rachel at the front desk. She was friendly and professional . She had told me she saw my request in my notes and that my room still was not ready . I requested high floor room . However , she had come up with a solution . She said she realized my day had been a long one and that she would give me a floor on the 4 th floor and then could switch to other room laterbon when ready . This was happy news to me ! I just wanted to lay down and power nap . I ended up just keeping the room seeing it was same type just lower floor. ROOM TIP: if you are used to hearing crickets or ocean waves where you currently sleep , request a room on back of hotel . I was in front and there IS city noise. The tram goes by right in front of hotel. It's not crazy loud . My house is on a busy street , so this noise really didn't affect me . Down in the bar area Karla, Nathania, and bar manager Valentine were all excellent in making sure I had what I needed . They were all very easy to speak to , friendly and professional ! Breakfast buffet was full of choices of hot and cold entrees . Location was great . Yiu can see Guinness from front of hotel and door to door about 15 min Jameson about 20-30. Grafton st 45 min walk temple st 30 min. Def great place !!

"Nice hotel within walking distance of city center"
Booked this hotel because it was less expensive than many 3 star hotels close to city center. We booked a double and single for me, my wife, and my daughter. We arrived early (about noon) and they had a room available and we were able to check in so we had a place for our bags. We walked through the city center from there (Trinity College, Dublin Castle, St Patricks, etc.) and it was a lot of walking but not that bad. The hotel itself is pretty nice in the lobby. The hallways were a little run down but the room was fine. It might have been the jet lag but we slept great, almost 11 hours. We didn't try the breakfast since it cost extra and wasn't cheap. It was about 25-30 euros each way to take a taxi from the airport to the hotel and back. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a reasonably priced hotel close to Dublin city center.

"Another great stay!"
This hotel is beautiful! It's not in the heart of the city but that's part of what makes it so charming. The hotel is beautiful, keeping a historic but still updated trendy feel (almost boutique-ish). A 15 minute cab ride from the airport (will run you about 20-25 euros) and a ten minute ride to the Temple Bar area (20 euros). Cabs are all mostly cash but the hotel will call you one that take credit cards if needed.

"Excellent hotel!"
Stayed at the hotel over the weekend of 10/10 and 10/11 so got to enjoy the Rugby and football games on their huge wall sized screen. Food was very good in the restaurant, the rooms were lovely and well designed and we were upgraded to a deluxe room on the fourth floor so had a lovely large continental breakfast in the executive suite.

"Good place for a layover"
This is a good airport hotel. I has a 10 hour layover in Dublin and it fit my needs perfectly. The staff was really friendly and helpful especially considering the fact that I showed up at 2am. It is just a couple minutes from the airport. If I have a similar layover I would happy to stay there again.

"Great atmosphere & Vibe"
I love the modern trendy atmosphere of the hotel and its right in the heart of Temple Bar area for easy shopping, dining and pub crawling. Take note this means its not in a quiet secluded part of the city so you will hear noise at night. I love how easy t is to get around the city from his part of town, i would highly recommend this if you want to experience Dublins core.

Our Guide To Dublin Ireland Hotels

When you imagine spending time in fair Ireland, a few images come to mind. You’ll explore cobblestone streets, you think, and nestle yourself into the corner of a neighborhood pub. With a pint of dark beer in hand, you’ll pen a few limericks or contemplate where to get the best boxty. Ah-ha, you’ll think “One of these fine locals will tell me where to go for that.” And you’re right.

Dublin isn’t all shamrocks, but these tokens of good luck will certainly put cartoon hearts in your eyes when you come upon them. And you know what happens when Irish eyes are smiling—angels singing and bright sunshine all around. But Dublin’s appeal is not limited to signs of good fortune. The city is medieval castles and gothic churches; pints of Guinness and warm Jameson; and filled with people so warm you won’t want to leave their company. Yes, the Emerald Isle’s capital will take your breath away. Book one of our Dublin hotels today, and your Irish adventure begins now.

    Where to Stay in Dublin

You want to get the full Dublin experience. Wise wandering means dancing in Temple Bar by night and lounging in St. Stephen’s Green by day. You’ll visit the Dublin Writers Museum in the afternoon and dream in poetry all night long. And when you’re laying your head at one of the best places to stay in Dublin, sleep deeply you will. These accommodations put you near some of your favorite Irish attractions.

    • Best Western Plus Academy Plaza Hotel: You’re just a short walk from the Temple Bar District when you stay at this hotel, but thanks to your double-paned windows you won’t notice any noise. Wake up in your comfy room and grab breakfast downstairs, then walk a few blocks to the Ilac Shopping center and other central Dublin attractions.
    • The Westbury Hotel: Elegance is your personal brand, and The Westbury feels like a home away from home. Sleek décor and an in-room fireplace are just the beginning. The hotel also offers a splendid afternoon tea and swanky restaurant. When you’re ready to venture from this paradise, you’re just a few minutes’ walk from Trinity College and Grafton Street.
    • Ashling Hotel Dublin: Luxury must be the Ashling Hotel’s middle name, you’ll think, as you enter the 4-star accommodation’s lobby. And you’re probably right. It has certainly earned a name for itself as one of the top high-end hotels in Dublin, at the very least. Rent a room in Dublin here, and you’re near the Dublin Zoo and a 15-minute walk from the Guinness Storehouse.
    • The Westin Dublin: It’s only the crème de la crème for you, so you’ll fit right in at The Westin. Sip tea in the Atrium Lounge, basking in the natural light passing through the glass roof. Overlook Westmoreland Street while you dine in a modern restaurant with art deco accents, and then retire to your spacious room. You’re conveniently near Trinity College and Abbey Theater, so exploration is never hard.

    Bottoms Up

In the land of Guinness, you’ll never have a hard time finding a pint. Sit down and order something on tap at The Oval Bar, a Dublin mainstay, pleasing patrons since 1820 on Middle Abbey Street. The Temple Bar area is always hopping after dark; it’s a fine place to observe Dubliners in their natural habitat and assimilate yourself to local culture. You’ll never be bored when you stay in Dublin’s city center, this much you know to be true.

You wander wisely, so you’re saving a stash of money for your visits to Dublin’s best landmarks. Dublin Castle, the Guinness Storehouse, and the Museum of Natural History will all make for fine additions to your itinerary indeed. Thank goodness cheap hotels near Dublin come to the rescue. When you book one of our hotels and get a steal of a deal, you can afford to play in The Dubs to your heart’s content. The only thing you’ll be doing at St. Patrick’s Cathedral is admiring the architecture—not repenting an overspend on your accommodations.
