Nice location close to shopping

Location: walking distance to shopping, restaurants and pubs.
Beautiful hotel, great location. Only issue I had is that when I went to take a shower in the morning around 8am there was no hot water. My friend in another room had the same issue. Considering the price I would expect a hot shower.

O'Connell Street

We arrived way early for check in (actually at 5 am) and the staff hurried up and got us a room. We truly needed that. Not only was the hotel clean but it also had a great breakfast. I would highly recommend the Gresham to any traveler to Dublin. Hope I can stay there again.

well located hotel

Pros: Close restaurants, Quiet
My husband and I stayed for only one night. The room was clean and comfortable. A good value and great location. The on/off bus stopped in front of the hotel . The 2 day pass included a direct bus back to the airport. The hotel was in a safe area and we were able to walk to shops and restaurants. our stay was in October 2011 Joan

Stepping into this hotel makes you think of old glamorous hollywood

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet
Cons: need new comfy mattress
The location was great, a few blocks north of the river but a safe walking distance to key spots. the 'hop on/hop off's were located right at the corner which was a great use of that service throughout the key dublin tourist locations. the hotel was a little stale for me but that is a 'typical american' perception. we had a wonderful time at the hotel, location was perfect for us and all expected ammenties were available. The conceirge on staff was great.

Lovely hotel!

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet
My friend and I were made to feel very welcome and comfortable in The Gresham. The only drawback for me was that they were doing construction and painting in the lobby. The improvements will most likely add to the loveliness of this hotel.

Excellent respite for the weary traveler.

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet, bath tubs are fantastic
We arrived in Dublin after a horrid trip across. Of course we could not check in because it was only lunch time. But the bell man was happy to take our luggage and stow it while we, bleary eyed, took in some of the sites. The Gresham is centrally located. That was appealing to us for we had no destination in mind that day, except for a pint. We got the lay of the land as we wandered from one pub to the next. Sneaking glimpses of the world cup. When we finally returned to the hotel, the staff was professional. We did have a terrace room which I highly recommend. On a summer evening, to end your day on the terrace with a bottle of wine and their lovely robe and slippers was sublime. The Elizabeth Taylor Suite shares the terrace. After a luxurious bath, a bath for the ages after all that traveling, sipping wine and wondering if Elizabeth Taylor did the same thing 20 yards away was a lovely past time.
