When our taxi drove up to Clontarf Castle Hotel, we were so impressed. It was dusk and the lights were on outside the castle. The lobby is huge and check-in was a breeze. There are many sitting areas in the hotel for you to enjoy tea and relax. It is tastefully decorated. The breakfast at Fahrenheit was outstanding. We had dinner in the Knights dining hall, which looks like a medi-evil with a modern twist, pub. Our room was a nice size and very clean. Staff was very helpful. There was no waiting for cabs. I believe they line up near the hotel so when the customer service counter contacts them, they are there in a flash. The staff at the counter suggested we return for the Christmas holidays because they decorate the hotel beautifully with a huge Christmas tree in the lobby, and they have carolers. I would definitely stay here again.

A true castle with walking tours to explore your stay. We wandered and enjoyed ourselves until after midnight. By far our favorite of the 3 Castles we stayed in. Our only regret was only spending one night. We had an issue in the restaurant with running out of the few entree items on the menu & our steaks were not cooked as requested. But everything else was amazing & it was clear the chef was very talented and the miscommunication was from the waiter. We had an issue with our tv not connecting & they responded within minutes. The staff was meticulous at keeping the property in great condition: Lighting candles, replacing flowers, cleaning fingerprints and even touching up paint in areas so small I didnt notice them until I saw them touching up paint. They were gracious and friendly. If I had an opportunity, I would spend a week here. Thank you

You think it’s going to be a fake castle but turns out it’s built into an actual old authentic castle. Very cool place.

It is a beautiful building and the rooms were quite nice. However, the luxury did not extend to some of the items in the room. The towels and robes were ok but could have been better. I also felt there should have been more towels, coffee etc. I know I could call down and ask but I shouldn't have too. Wonderful, huge tub but no bath salts or such to help enjoy the bath. Also we booked a queen bed and got a double.
