A very nice hotel

We had a lovely 2 night stay at The Clayton Hotel. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. An issue with early check in as room was not ready on time, however we received a small refund to compensate. Breakfast was not included when we came to check in however it was clear on our booking it was, again this was rectified quickly both issues sorted a lovely lady on Reception, who was professional and courteous. Breakfast was fabulous with a fantastic choice. A lovely swimming pool, good size. All in all I would highly recommend this hotel for a city break.

Hotel was excellent, clean and accessible. The only fault would be the lack of AC in the room when it was hot during our stay. We did use a fan however there was 3 of us and a mini one to share. I loved the water bottles provided and we enjoyed our stay. Breakfast choices were amazing but there weren’t enough supervision for children who would grab pastries with their hands and putting them back. But that’s on their parents rather than staff 😊

Overall a great experience. Very friendly, kind, helpful staff; Very clean hotel and room; Amazing breakfast! Full Irish breakfast and more! One problem is the lack of A/C and ventilation in the room. Not having A/C seems common in Ireland, which makes sense since it hardly ever gets very warm. However, the room still got pretty stuffy with 4 people in it, and the deck door only opened a few inches. The fan was helpful but it was still too warm and stuffy to sleep with any covers on.

Scenic location, safe, lovely walk along the river Liffey into the main centre. Bed was super comfortable and possibly one of the best hotel breakfasts we have ever had. All round excellent.
