An average stay

This is not a 4 star property of experience, it is a 2.5-3. It is a bit dated and does not have a fan or fridge to aid in comfort. The construction was not a nuisance for us as it was for others leaving reviews. The pool is mainly used for kids lessons based on our time going to it. Parking on the weekend nearby on the street was not an issue for us, but guessing weekdays would be difficult. This hotel is proximal to Aviva stadium, epic and the theater, but not very close to the main shopping district, brewery, and such. The ability to pre-check in is nice and use the kiosk on arrival.

Water went off whilst we were staying there and staff were less than helpful. Just told us that it’s back on and will take a while to get up to the floor we were staying on. Building works going on onsite which we were not made aware of at booking. Disappointed in the hotel really as has good reviews

Water free weekend

Hotel was in the middle of a refurbishment that we didn’t know about so was a bit of a mess when we were there. We were only thee for 3 days and 2 of these days we had no running water in the room.So we couldn’t get showered in the evening or even flush the toilet.Not ideal when you are going out for a meal and a show in the evening.Hotel staff not very helpful as they said it was out of there control.

Booked via an online site and looked to be reasonable. Hotel rooms were comfortable although there some issues with towels/gowns (missing) and there was building works taking place whilst we were there. Also issues with the water supply on our last day but this was sorted and we were given a later check out time. Opted to take breakfast in the booking and this was good. Reasonable walk into the city centre and the sites and there were some local pubs nearby to visit. It would be somewhere I would consider staying again.

Unfortunately, unknown to us when reserving, the hotel was under renovation while we were there. So even though there were very nice staff helping us around, it wasn't an optimal hotel experience. However, the rooms were large, comfortable and cozy.

Well satisfied

Hotel front being refurbished had no impact on the quality of the place, downgraded 1 star as the scope does appear quite large. Gym requires refurbishing, could be part of the upgrade but still well fit for purpose. Tried to keep hold of used towels but changed every day hence the low eco score. Staff fantastic room great though there is plenty of room for a fridge that would have been nice.

The rooms were not what they seemed to be advertised. The rooms was outdated, it had a weird smell, the carpet was dirty, there were dirty spots on the ceiling, pillows.
