The house cleaning staff was great. The restaurant staff was not very friendly. Although the girl that ran the coffee/pastry shop was very nice

The property was very accessible to the Dublin and shuttle came frequently. There were no toiletries in the room except for a bottle attached to the wall that was supposed to act as body wash, shampoo and conditioner? Dont know if it was worth the price other than being convenient to the airport.

Staff very nice. Facility very nice but floors needed mopped in the lobby. Carpet had some small stains in the room, but room clean and beds comfy. Room card is the key to turn on lights.

We started and ended our trip to Ireland in the Clayton Hotel and it could not have been better. The rooms were spacious and clean, food in the hotel restaurant delicious, the free airport shuttle fast and the staff friendly and helpful. Everything seemed brand new, from linens to fixtures. Highly recommend this hotel!

I’m 64, & my sister is 79. We were given a room on the first floor. First we had to manage our way through a door that had to be held open to get to the elevator. Upon leaving the elevator with heavy suitcases, we were shocked to find a stairway down to the first floor, and a broken lift. When we went back to the desk to get a different room rather than struggle with our luggage, the young man behind the desk said that the lift was broken. Why didn’t he tell us that before, and why didn’t he offer help. We were supposed to have 2 double beds. The room he gave us instead was a handicap room with 1 double & 2 singles. All of the bathroom amenities were quite low, perfect for someone wheelchair bound, but not for us. Room service was not available when we tried to order at about 6 pm. We stored some baggage in the designated area. When we went to retrieve it very early in the morning, it had been placed on shelves with large heavy boxes placed in front of it. There were plastic dry cleaning bags on the floor that I slipped on. We were not offered assistance loading the bags on a cart, nor into the shuttle. The shuttle driver did assist with the last couple of bags, & he did unload them for us.

Booked an upgraded room with king size bed on the 8th floor. Key cards didn't work necessitating two trips to the front desk. Receptionist was defensive rather than apologetic. I've been in customer service my whole life and am understanding. In no way was I giving her a hard time. Television didn’t work necessitating a very nice support staff person to come and fix the cable connection. Once again same receptionist was unapologetic when I called about the problem. Television didn't work again in the morning, which I was able to fix after unplugging and plugging back in the cable numerous times. Paint peeling above the shower, built up grime in corners of the bathroom, no washcloths, no extra towels in cabinet marked for extra towels, cheap shampoo and bodywash combo provided. Apparently we were to share the one bathrobe provided. Excellent appetizers for dinner followed by some of the worst fish and chips we've had with a batter coating which was as hard as armour over not the freshest fish with a great deal of skin. Limp "skinny fries". Waited too long for condiments which didn't arrive with meals. Condiments were individual packets with no apparent way to open except by piercing with a fork. All in all, a predominantly frustrating and disappointing experience for a hotel charging the rates they do.
