The hotel itself is adequate but not what one would expect from a four star property. The air conditioning didn't work well (which was problematic as we were visiting in July), and the sink/shower didn't drain properly with water backing up and pooling (which was gross). Net net, the property has decent bones but is clearly showing its age. The biggest issue is the poor service. There are two specific examples. First, we never received a package that was delivered to the hotel (USPS tracking showed that it was signed by the Teatro front desk). We emailed Matthew Slavsky (the manager of the hotel) twice but received no response. Second, after we left the hotel, we realized that we left our 5-year old daughters teddy in the room. We called and asked to have it shipped on our dime. The front desk member said they would take care of it right away, but after repeated calls and messages, we came to find out that it hadn't yet shipped until 10 days later. It was finally sent after we continually followed up. Again, we emailed Matthew to no avail - zero response. A very disappointing experience in total.

What a cute boutique style hotel!! It exceeded our expectations. It was an easy walk to Ball Arena which is why we booked but we will be back because of the service! All the staff was so great and accommodating. The manager was the best! Made us feel welcome, recommended things, and chatted with us throughout the visit. Top notch service! Thank you!!

We chose this hotel because it is dog friendly and they do not charge a pet fee. We were very impressed with everything. This historic hotel is just beautiful and close to green space for our dog. The room was spotless and comfortable. Everyone that worked there was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast at the Nickel was delicious. The location is perfect; close to walking trails and restaurants and shops. Will definitely stay here again.

Best hotel we’ve stayed at in Denver. We’ll definitely stay here again when in town. The staff were friendly and helpful, good restaurant, and walkable to everything downtown. The room was great, better than the other hotels we’ve stayed at downtown in the same price range.

Everything was great. I did think the drink tokens were for any drink in their menu, unfortunately, there is a small menu on the back for those. Make sure you ask or look for that menu. The staff were all friendly and accommodating, we enjoyed our very short stay.
