After some heavy winter weather impacted our first trip, the crew not only spent hours helping us get our car out of the snow, Darlene was incredibly flexible with rescheduling. It was the perfect home base for our ski trip to Dodge Lodge.The cabin itself quiet, serene and cozy. We especially loved warming up by the fireplace after a long day on the slopes. "Got to front desk and check-in to Room 3. Got key card and went to our room but was still being occupied by somebody there. Went back to front desk and was told it wasn't ready and to come back later. We went back at 5pm and room 3 was still being occupied so we finally got assigned to room 11 on the 3rd floor with no river view. Both bed were spring board and squeaks every time you turns. Bathroom door hinge was broken so door wouldn't close and bathroom fan was extremely loud in room 11. Would not recommend or will come back again in the future."

"This home is wonderfully prepared for guests! The owners have put a lot of thought into making your stay as easy and comfortable as possible. The kitchen is well-equipped with plenty of appliances and clearly labeled cupboards and drawers, so you’ll never have to search for anything. The beds were super comfy, and the bedding was plenty warm enough even on the coldest winter nights. There are tons of board games, books, and puzzles for family fun. Instructions for using the fireplace are clear, and there was plenty of wood, kindling, and fire starter to supplement the central heating. The cargo sled was really useful, and as a ski-in, ski-out property, it is close to the parking area, Bear Valley Lodge, General Store, and dining options. "

"Our family of 10 spent 5 nights at this great cabin and loved every minute of our stay. Jim was the perfect host, available via text message throughout our stay, helping us survive a power outage and 5’ of snow. The generator kicked in right away and the heaters kept us warm and dry. Jim even came to help shovel us out once the snow stopped. It was a fun adventure!"
