"The best part of this Hotel is the location. There is so much to do within a short walking distance. You honestly don't even need a car, but the parking lot has plenty of room. Incredibly easy to take a quick break in the room between activities throughout the day. The balconies are nice to have, and the lake view is pretty decent with only a few buildings and trees to obscure. The St joseph swing bridge is also viewable if you're into that, I like watching the trains so its a huge plus for me. The room looked and smelled clean, and had all the necessities. The staff are friendly and always ready to help. Other guests were super nice as well. I feel like I should also add that their elevators are amazing. It might be a strange detail, but I couldn't help but notice how quite, smooth, and quick these elevators were. This is my favorite place to stay in St Joseph."

"The view of the lake from both the rooms in our 3rd-view suite was stunning, and the suite itself was lovely, plus the bed was super-comfortable.) Moreover, the hotel's superbly located for exploring the best of St. Joseph on foot. (It's only a short walk to the beach in one direction, and an even shorter walk to the heart of downtown in the opposite direction.) We had difficulty making the coffee-maker work but the front desk immediately sent a very helpful staff member to try and sort out the problem. When he couldn't do so either he came back a short while later with a new one. The dinner we had at the hotel restaurant was outstanding by any measure, and our server was excellent. Unfortunately, breakfast was nothing out of the ordinary. But it was the only blemish in an otherwise wonderful overnight stay."

"All and all our stay was perfectly fine. When we arrived at the hotel our room was hot. The a/c was completely shut off. And they should have some sort of outdoor seating, even if by the front door. They didn't even have any seating on the outdoor patio by the indoor pool. Just a blank slab of concrete. A few adjustments or improvements in that area. Close to downtown without the higher price so that was nice."

"I was a little hesitant to book because of the low price. But we loved this place the grounds are beautiful a pond in back with three camp fire rings and grill. Pool was very nice. It’s a old hotel but in good condition we will definitely rebook in the future. They have lots of chairs out side to enjoy the grounds."

"Pros: breakfast was good, hot tub was nice and hot, bed was comfy. Cons: the area around the hotel is pretty sketchy and trashy, homeless camped out back, pool was ice cold and way way smaller than what it appeared in the picture. Lamp shade and curtains had mold from the ac unit. I would not stay at this location again."
