Transportation From SJC
Getting to Gilroy hotels from SJC in the heart of the Silicon Valley is easiest with a rental car. More than 12 rental companies operate at SJC's Rental Car Center, located directly opposite Terminal B. The blue airport shuttle bus will take you there from any terminal. The drive on U.S. 101 should take about 35 minutes, but know that at times the highway can be congested around Gilroy. Instead of taking a taxi all the way to Gilroy, take one to the nearby Greyhound station and then ride the inexpensive Greyhound bus to Gilroy. A VTA Airport Flyer connects SJC and the Santa Clara Transit Center, another hub for buses to Gilroy.
