Regardless of all that, there are two major draws here: if you like the cocktail hour or if you happen to be a lap swimmer, this place is a standout. The pool is especially impressive, and attracts swimmers from the area. The scene in the evening was quite lively. The “morning after” scene was a relative letdown: it appears to have been a business decision not to do much more than coffee in the lobby, which seemed a shame. Also, although there appear to be breakfast options nearby, there wasn’t a very viable way to reach them on foot. Still a pleasant surprise overall."
