This property was a bit more expensive than some of the other choices in the neighborhood. We decided to "go for it" since we were celebrating our anniversary. BIG MISTAKE!!! The staff at this property was rude and not at all hospitable when we arrived. They did not have a cart for us to take our bags to our room. They did not offer to retrieve a cart for us or help us to our room. The Shower had tepid water, but the bathroom was freezing, making our morning awful. The elevators were broken, and we had to use the service elevators, dismal at best. I do not recommend staying here.

Bathroom should have grab bars installed and more towel racks. There was just one hook for a towel. Hotel was clean and beds comfortable, but facility is a bit dated.

The hotel was perfectly located. We were able to walk to just about everywhere we wanted to be. The staff was lovely. The hotel conditions were terrible. The restaurant was not very clean. Tables sticky. Seats dirty. Just not great. Food was pretty good although we only had breakfast in the hotel . The hotel is Very old and much in need of a remodel. The rugs in the seating area of the lobby were totally worn to the base. The furniture old worn and dirty. The bedding was clean. The bathroom grout had mold on the floor. The drapes were torn and ours had a huge brown smear on them. I hate to think of what that was. The staff did come and clean it to the best of their ability, but the drapes just need to be replaced. One elevator was broken for our entire stay and another guest remarked that it had been broken for 2 weeks. Long waits at the elevator. A daily fee of $25 was charged. For what??? Nothing special was done . Not even daily maid service unless we requested it. The hotel is saving a fortune by not hiring cleaning help and using covid as an excuse! That it nonsense! The refrigerator was filled with expensive snacks. Free water at the desk , however, if you removed one of their snacks to chill your water, you were charged as there are sensors in the fridge. We called for room service 3 times one day and no one answered. Left a message with no response. Thank goodness for the lovely staff, and the great location. Otherwise a big disappointment, in a great city.

The location could not be better. It was right in the heart of everything. And it is a nice hotel. If they had an ice machine that was accessible (ideally on our floor) I would have given a higher review because outside of that the hotel was great. We were on the 5th floor and had to go to the 3rd floor to get ice. And even then, on weekdays they had events that encompassed the area where the ice machine was located. So you had to call the front desk for ice, which often took some time to get.

I apologize for the ice issues, typically we do not restrict the ice, but the group informed us for their need of privacy after the meeting started and we could not move them mid meeting. We do our best to avoid groups with that need from being in that meeting room.

Love this hotel. Located in the middle of everything downtown Boston including train system. Farmer's Market just around corner. I will say rooms do not come with refrigerator for your personal use.
