Eagles Nest is a luxury gated community with guest access to many family-friendly amenities! High on a private parcel of land, it offers a quiet, peaceful setting. Just 7 minutes from Banner Elk and beside Beech Mountain, this house is convenient to Boone, Blowing Rock, Grandfather Mountain, Sugar Mountain, Valle Crucis, and Watauga Lake. Both Elk River and the Watauga River are also nearby.
With a huge natural stone fireplace, high vaulted ceilings, and refined interior finishes, Dark Horse Lodge is an unforgettable destination for any occasion. Elegant and sophisticated, yet warm and comfortable, it is the perfect place to relax. Enjoy the large Great Room with the gas log fireplace and open kitchen, the spacious deck with covered outdoor living space and outdoor wood-burning fireplace, and the loft with comfy seating, a poker table, and a work desk. This home offers a main floor king suite, a second king room and bunk room downstairs, and a second master suite upstairs, and every room is decorated with care and style. The Lodges at Eagles Nest offer many premier community amenities and nature-based activities appealing to all ages and interests. Dark Horse Lodge is just a 5-minute walk to the brand new Eagles Nest playground, which includes pickleball and basketball courts. There are racquets and balls available at the cabin for guests' enjoyment. Eagles Nest Newest Addition: Epic Chophouse! - As a renter in the community, you will have access to this great venue. When at the restaurant, mention you are a renter in Eagles Nest for admittance. Please note, that Owners of the Eagles Nest Community will have priority seating at this restaurant so please be aware of this ahead of your arrival to the venue.

Eagles Nest Winery day passes are available onsite for $25.00 each
HOURS: Thur & Fri 4p-10p. Sat & Sun 1p-7p
Please note all visitors on premise at the winery must be 16 years or older. This is strictly enforced.
Important Notes:
- Guests do not have access to the locked off portion of the Sportsman's Lodge, the Fitness Center, or the Wine & Cigar Bar. That is for member use only.
- Check-in is 4 PM and check-out is by 10AM.
- All stays at Eagles Nest homes have an additional amenity fee in order to maintain the luxurious facilities and features in the development.
- Guests are not allowed to bring their own ATVs. For information about ATV rentals please visit: Off Road Adventures website.
- Firewood may be added under Additional Fees on the website or by calling our office.
- AWD/4WD vehicles are required for our mountain homes during winter for inclement weather. In heavy snow, chains may also be necessary to access the property.
- Guests are responsible for supplying their own recreational equipment (basketballs, soccer balls, tennis equipment etc.)
- The summer concerts are open to all guests however there is an admission fee for each person and cash bar for food and drinks.
