Love the close stores.

I had a great time. The hotel was amazing. Valet and the bell-hop was terrific. Also valet is 24hrs $35 per night; not bad at all. The only problem I had was the room that I stayed in door gave me problems. It was times where I would be standing in the hallway trying to enter my room for several minutes at times. I was told by hotel staff that they were sending an engineer up. However they never came, nor was I compensated in anyway. Never the less I'll most definitely stay at this hotel if/when I return the area.

No time for 3rd party bookers

While the hotel made the effort to re-accomodate most guests after a water main break, they neglected guests who had booked through a 3rd party site such as Travelocity. Their first response upon my arrival was to offer a room at another of their properties for more than I had already pre-paid. No effort was made by the hotel to notify me prior to my arrival. I did get an email from Travelocity that was sent after I had already left for the drive to Baltimore. I had to pay again for a room and God only knows when I will see the credit from Travelocity.

Comfort could be better.

Pros: Beautiful hotel and garden with a great location. The personnel were friendly and the hotel food was great !
Cons: Thermostat and lamp switches need repair.
Location: Great restaurants in walking distance.
The room was at 65 degrees and it would not heat up above 68 (in august). So I just turned off the thermostat. Fortunately I had a sweatshirt in which to sleep. also the lamp switches were a bit tricky to turn on.

Hotel for the ball game

Pros: It is reasonable priced and close to Inner Harbor.
Cons: Update and properly clean the rooms.
Location: We didn't have a lot of time to mill around Inner Harbor. We were about 1.5-miles from the ball-field. We could have walked but it was very hot.
This hotel was not difficult to get to, however, there is very little room to park while waiting for the parking valet. They did move pretty fast to keep cars moving. The room smelled of stale tobacco smoke. The curtains on the windows had cigarette burn holes in them. We had a king size bed, which was comfortable, but only had four small pillows.

Thank you for your review and I am sorry about the condition of the guestroom as Hilton Garden Inn is a non-smoking hotel. Hotel leadership will assuredly pay closer attention to this and I hope we can welcome you back again.

I stay here frequently for a reason

The location can not be beat. It's walking distance to an endless number of restaurants. It's a huge perk to be able to use MAC fitness as well. The beds are very comfortable and staff is excellent.

Absolutely Outstanding

Above and beyond my expectations. I honestly can't say enough about this hotel. The room and facilities were immaculate, the housekeeping staff prompt and the valets were spot on. The staff and service was excellent. I had no problems whatsoever and any questions or issues I had were answered in an immediate and extremely friendly manner. Staff was continually asking throughout the day if everything was okay and if anything was needed. Great breakfast buffet and business lounge. Located in a great central area within walking distance to almost all of the sights to see.

Hilton Garden Inn Baltimore Inner Harbor

This Hilton Hotel shares the same entrance and reception desk with Hilton's Homestead Suites. The flat-screen TV in the room was great with the HD channels available for “NADA” (free is always good) and the bathroom was large and modern with a roomy glass-door shower. There also was a mini-fridge, a microwave and a coffee maker. The hotel has a bar/grill called the Great American Grill and a business room that has 3 free PCs and printers with internet access and a copier and fax machine. This hotel is east of the inner harbor area (Piers 3, 4, 5 & 6) on the other side of these little walking bridges connected to the various Piers that allow you to cross over without going to the top of the pier (E. Pratt St.). Pier 5 has a hotel, a Ruth's Chris Steak House and a McCormick & Schmick's along with a small lighthouse. Pier 4 has a Hard Rock, Dick’s Last Resort, Phillips Seafood and more restaurants. The next bridge will take you to the Baltimore Aquarium and Harborplace. There is a great Latin-Brazilian restaurant names “Talaras” next door to the right of the hotel that serves wonderful “tapas” meals, appetizers, seviche drinks and has a wonderful $5 "Happy Hour" M-S for both drinks and apps. Also, on the other side of the Hotel is a Starbucks, a movie theater and a Haagen Daz. There is a Marriott, a Courtyard and a Four Seasons in the area, a Roy’s (hawaiian influenced food) restaurant ($6 Happy Hour), an Irish pub and a seafood restaurant, Oceanaire, around the rest of the rotary with furniture and clothing stores around the corner. On the backside of the block is a CVS, a Whole Foods store, a Sushi restaurant, and a small, quaint Mexican taco restaurant/bar. Two “Moe’s” restaurants (local favs) are one and two blocks away in different directions for steamed crabs and also the “Little Italy” area of Baltimore starts across the street from the Whole Foods Market. However, I’ll say that Moe's has the best local steamed crabs, even better than "Dockside” in Canton, a mile or two to the east. The free “Charm City Circulator” buses, both orange & green-line, have stops at the rotary. The orange line goes to and from the Inner harbor area before crossing over the Light-Rail transit line tracks which can take you to and from the BWI Airport for $1.60 each way. A tip – doing this during “Indy-Car Weekend” can prove problematic for driving, but don’t worry unless it’s Labor Day Weekend.
