victim of false adertisement, sleepless weekend

Pros: The room was nice, close to beach and boardwalk
Cons: a little consideration from guests, and hotel front desk staff should be more sensitive to the needs and complaints from guests, SORRY is not enough!
Location: Beach, Boardwalk other Casino's and restaurants, the Steel pier with rides and outlet shops nearby
I wanted a relaxing weekend getaway and found this beautiful room (Gatsby) with a walk-in jetted tub, well upon entering my room it wasn't the same tub I immediately called the front desk because I have back problems and wouldn't be able to get in or out of the tub in this room and was told that was another room and that Travelocity put those false pictures online not the Hotel. I was told that particular room was not available and that the manager would reach out to me ( that never happened ) what did happen was a bunch of obnoxious, loud, drunk people in the room next door who had a party going on all night! To top it off at 3:30a.m. an alarm goes off in my room now I'm thinking it's a fire! then the intercom comes on stating (we apologize to our guests for any inconvenience) it happened again one hour later! all I got from the front desk was I'm sorry as they took my credit card for payment as I complained at check out the staff really didn't care very insensitive! too many loud drunks at this hotel I don't recommend it! even my brand new car was dented in the parking garage probably by another drunk! I truly was a victim of false adertisement and a sleepless weekend!

Vintage Elegance Boardwalk and Park Place

I loved this restored classic hotel. My room on the 11th floor had a complete ocean view. You can get to Balley's casino via indoor walkway if that's your thing. The rooftop bar was on the 23rd floor has an incredible view. It looks like the photos on their web site. really.

Booking through third party

I will never book through party again. Hotel fees through third party are more then what the hotel states on there site. There was a rave concert in the area and the type of people staying at hotel were loud disruptive intoxicated and doing drugs. Horrible stay for me and my 2 teen daughters.

Just perfect

This hotel is amazing. Elegant and gracious are the two words that describe best the atmosphere. I would hope everyone appreciates the history of the hotel. Our view of the ocean was spectacular, the pool is awesome and our dinner on New Year's night (not eve) was superb. And what a great view from "The Vue." One thing they should do is advertise that the hotel is directly connected to Bally's casino. It was a beautiful day on Sunday, so we wouldn't have minded walking outside, but good to know that one can go directly to the casino. We plan on going back in the Spring.

nice hotel close to every thing

Pros: Beautiful facility
Cons: The listing of ALL fees and holds.. And educate staff if person staying more than one nite, proper procedures are followed.
Location: hotel is centered close to all activites
My problems came upon regristration, checking in. Wasnt told that a $100 hold was placed on your account, second, the resort fees were not listed on travelocity site, or Claridge site as being manadatory.. okay tried to continue my stay. to only have them check me out for one nite, when I was staying two. And when they fixed the problem, they put ANOTHER $100 hold on my account... Checking with my bank on today 8/30/16 account overdrawn by 62.00 because of staff error and not having this info available on ur site and any travelsite they may deal it... ,

Close to board walk

Pros: The room size. It was right on the boardwalk.
Cons: The wait time for the elevator.
Location: The hotel is right on the boardwalk. There is plenty of good reasonable places to eat.
I was not very happy about my stay. We always had to wait at least 15 minutes for an elevator. We were also stuck in our room for about 30 because there was a fight in the hallway. When we went to check out we waited 35 minutes for and elevator then had to take the stairs

Nice. Close to everything.

Beautiful hotel. Lots of history. Nice lobby sitting areas through out facility. From the 1920's. Check in was easy. Staff friendly. Room was clean. Bed was very comfortable. It did not smell of smoke or must like the tipical casino hotels. Hotel is in the process of renovation. My room was so nice that I couldn't tell if it had been renovated or not. It was nice being separate from the casino. Quiet. We were on the 20th floor. Partial ocean view. Close to the beach and Boardwalk 1 block walk. We did not use the pool or excercize room. The resturaunt closed early. Ice machine broken on the 19 & 20th floors but no problem we just went to the 18th. In room kurig coffee pots. Complimentary coffee and tea in the lobby til 11. No room service. The bar service was excellent. Very generous drinks. $12 /night for self parking. I was pleasantly surprised!!! definitely would stay again!!

Needs Proper Cleaning

We usually prefer to stay at Claridge since it's convenient and connected to Bally's however this time we went our room door didn't work properly and then the room itself wasn't very clean it smelled like smoke so we asked for a new room, they claimed to give us an upgrade but the second room was even more dirty. The sink, shower was filthy, there was leftover grey hair in the sink and counter. The front desk staff are friendly and accompanying but Very disappointed with housekeeping.
