Perfect getaway

Property was just as listed, clean, and close to town though area is quiet and peaceful. This much needed getaway brought me back to my roots and reminded me of all the things this country girl misses.

Wonderful getaway!

Perfect location for those who want to feel like they’re truly in the mountains. The property is beautiful. The house is very cozy, peaceful and relaxing, with a beautiful view from the front porch while drinking morning coffee. It was very easy to communicate with the property owner, she was accessible and helpful! Close enough to go to Asheville for a day trip. Would love to go back when we have longer to stay & explore!

Great location

Even though you drive through neighborhoods that you may be skeptical if you are from a big city (we are), once you get to the house, it is in an excellent area, quiet street, for added peace of mind, the house has a CPI security alarm system. Space was enough for 9. We will stay here again.

Perfect family getaway

Pat’s Mountain home was absolutely perfect for our after-Christmas trip! Beautiful, spacious home, with great yard, creek and barn to enjoy outside! The neighboring cows were even friendly! The property owner was a joy to talk to and went out of her way to accommodate our family. So much to do in the Canton/Waynesville/Asheville areas. We are already planning another visit!

Everything about this place was perfect for our family of 9 to stay for our son's wedding at Chestnut Ridge. Most guests and the wedding party had to travel 30-45 minutes and they were so jealous. The house was very well stocked with everything you need and more (like the jar of peanut butter we ate.) The property was absolutely gorgeous. We loved the turkeys and listening to the creek was so soothing. It was also very handy when we had a power outage and used the water to flush commodes, because the well pump was out too. Margaret was so sweet and took care of our every need by sending bottled water and battery powered lanterns for our 12 hour power outage. Don't even think of staying anywhere else, especially if you have an event at Chestnut Ridge. You will not be disappointed.

Beautiful place but pricey for the area!

The area was beautiful and the house was cozy and comfy with a Creek in the front. It was in a great location for the wedding venue our daughter got married at this weekend and Margaret (the owner) was very friendly and helpful when I contacted her. The home had everything we needed except food of course, but did have coffee and can sleep several people which allowed me to have my mother who is on oxygen there for the wedding. The price was high and we wouldn’t have been able to afford it if we had not split the price with my sister and her husband for the weekend. So if you can afford it or can have someone split the price I would encourage you to stay in this pretty home.
