Pretty nice condo!!

We liked the overall experience, but the location is simply not as good as say Torian Plum where you can easily walk down to slope side for dinner. The ski in ski out is true, but you need to work the poles to go up hill to get to the runs or even back to the building. So, maybe for younger or older skiers, a little harder. Further, if you end up at or want to go to the base, this place has a shuttle bus which runs every 30 min. And if you then want to go downtown or the grocery, you need to transfer to the city bus. So, If you stay here, it’s either rent a car or be prepared to pay 24 bucks each way in an Uber. Also, the hot tub in our building was out of order, so my son had to walk to the next building over which is less than ideal. I would stay there again if the price was right. :)

The listing is very misleading

First off the actual condo inside was wonderful. When we first walked in there were a couple of dirty dishes left next to the bed, a slight overlooked issue. If you have ever been to Steamboat you know there are private shuttles that bring you around downtown, to stores and restaurants. Vacasa has quite a few. Private is defined as belonging to or for the use of one particular person or group of people only. The listing states that there is a “private shuttle” and makes it seem like there is one to bring you all around and that was far from the case. It only went to the base and stopped running at 430, so if you need get anywhere else you need to rent a car. Next it says that it is a “ski in/ski out”. Technically speaking it is but the most sketchy path I’ve ever seen. If you are a novice or have kids it’s not the best place to ski in or out. Finally on day 3 of our 6 day stay our keys stopped working. We came in from a long day of skiing and couldn’t get in because of the keys. I was on hold for over an hour on the phone trying to get in touch with someone in California. Finally got ahold of someone and got keys after sitting around for a while. There is no front desk or numbers to get in touch with anyone local which would have helped tremendously. It has phone numbers to a different management company that told me they don’t handle the property anymore. All in all the skiing was fun but this listing is very misleading and I would recommend staying closer to the base down the mountain.

Nice place

Very convenient ski-in ski-out and a quiet place. Ski locker had easy access. Very clean and kitchen was well supplied for cooking. The small hot tub on the 1st floor was a nice surprise. We did not have a car and getting an Uber or Lyft was sketchy probably because of Covid. In the past it was not a problem.

Nice ski in ski out condo.

I have rented condos in this building in the past. Works well if you like a ski in ski out condo. Furniture, decorations and kitchen elements were very nice and condo was clean and the condo owners did a very good job of of making the condo feel inviting and homey. My only issue was the master shower curtain was extremely gross with black mold at the bottom. I would not use the master shower. Unacceptable and I blame the management company not the owner. Fix that and it is a 5 Star.

Late January stay

I was very impressed with the property and the property manager, Brad. Having a property on VRBO, and regularly using rentals in ski towns, gives me a little insight when a manager is on top of their game, very much the case here!! Check in/out and location were very slick and very convenient. I would recommend this property and property management company wholeheartedly, no hesitation. The condo is very sunny, was very clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for cooking complicated menus. For my next trip to Steamboat I'll be using Brad and Steamboat Vacation Rentals!!

Enjoyed our time in Steamboat

Thank you for sharing your lovely condo. It was perfect for our family. Management was responsive, the shuttle service was awesome, we typically had the hot tub to ourselves, the 4th floor was quiet, and we were able to ski in and out. The condo was as presented in the ad. Thanks again!

Great Condo right next to the slopes!!!

Really enjoyed this condo & its cozyness! All of the vintage ski artwork is very neat & really has a cool vibe In the condo. It’s very close to the slopes & Steamboat which made getting around very easy! Will be returning soon!

Great value and condo

The condo was a great value and had everything we needed including a really well-stocked kitchen. The ski out and in can be a bit hard for the littlest ones (like our 4yo) but Storm Meadows is a great facility for the whole family.

Great place!

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Storm Meadows A414. The place is very well designed, well equipped, and the balcony facing east up the mountain provided plenty of shade for sitting outside and enjoying the view on a summer evening.

Great week in Steamboat

This is the second year I have stayed in this complex. The unit was clean with plenty of towels and other supplies. This was a last minute reservation and Brad was very helpful. I would recommend staying here and when Steamboat is busy this is a quiet place to stay and close to town.

Perfect getaway for our family to explore, hike, bike, swim and even have our girls enjoy tennis for the first time. The beds were comfy, linens were nice and kitchen was well outfitted for light cooking. We always love steamboat and this was a new favorite spot.

We will be back!

We absolutely loved this condo. Our stay was over Christmas. The inside was very well done. Everything we needed was at our fingertips (thanks for the humidifiers!) We cooked so all we needed was available. The ski in/ski out was just as advertised. The master suite was very quiet from the rest of the condo. The Only thing I can think of is the second bedroom does open up to the living area. This is a nice feature, however if you have someone sleeping on the sleeper sofa it is not very private, sound wise only. It was impossible to not waken others in the second bedroom. Most of our time was only our fam of four so it was no problem but just keep this in mind. We had our own vehicle which was convenient. We did not use the shuttle. Had we not our own car it is not an easy walk to town. The "ski decor" made it especially nice. We are very thankful to have had the opportunity to stay here.

A must read and do - Everything You Want and More

As advertised............... ease of reservation, exceptional quality of condo, excellent amenities, and efficiency of the ski in/out access to the Steamboat slopes = 5 Stars for Sure! You could not ask for more and will not be disappointed. The lay-out, location, and overall comfort-ability of condo #414 in Storm Meadows Club A are top notch. From the skiing/boarding, to the pool/hot tub, to the timely shuttle service, to a nightcap by the fire; get your reservations booked now. An awesome March 2016 Steamboat trip thoroughly enjoyed by our CO family of five.
