Overall okay, booked for three nights (3/6-9), tried to add on extra night, Travelocity not able to help, called the hotel directly they helped me book extra night (3-6-10) I received the confirmation..thought I was all set. On check in staff reviewed pet, smoking, and parking policies, I signed saying that I understood. They needed to charge 12.50 a day for parking. I gave them my credit card to realize later that the charge was for more than 90.00 I called the front desk, they explained that it was the "resort fee" which is spoken about on Travelocity site when I looked back, but I was not told this would also be charged. On the 9th, received two calls from an unknown number, only to find out it was staff who informed me that I should have checked out. Explained that I had extended the reservation, and had an email. I was asked who I spoke to. Was out skiing, and asked if I could come in a bit to take care of it. Was asked to come sooner than later. Brought email to staff who said that at some point after they emailed me confirmation, that someone cancelled the extra night... NO NOTIFICATION to me, they stated that sometimes they send an email and sometimes they don't. Staff indicated that this is MY fault since I didn't pay better attention when I checked in. Since I "SIGNED" the form saying March 6-9 that is what I was stuck with. Also manager or whoever was in back office yelled out to me that I never should have called the hotel but gone through booking co.

Hi there. I'm sorry to hear about your experience. We've double checked with Expedia and Travelocity regarding not mentioning the resort fee due at arrival during the booking process. They confirmed that guests are told this when they book, so we will be looking into this further and we apologize for any inconvenience this has caused you. And regarding the extra night being cancelled, we're very sorry to hear that this happened. We haven't had a situation like that happen before, so I am not sure what may have caused the confusion. Liked that it was close to ski area and mall (good restaurants). Very much disliked the fact that after unpacking and having a great day on the slopes we came home to being told they made a reservation mistake (the owner was coming in) and we had to move. We had grocery shopped for the week and had spent the evening putting that stuff up and unpacking. No real apologies or even a discount consideration. Also, we didn’t have the internet or cable half the week as they were installing updates. Also,we were charged an additional fee for parking that wasn’t communicated during booking.

In the unfortunate event that an owner requires their unit last minute, there's not much we can do and we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. During your stay they were upgrading the TV's and Wi-Fi, so if that disrupted your stay we are sorry to hear that. Regarding the parking, it is owned by the town and we're required to charge our guests or they will be ticketed. Thanks for your review.

Beautiful views ski in and out

Great location, perfect romantic getaway, ski in and out, the hotel includes shuttle service if you stay 5 days or more, try to schedule your flight according to check out time, late check out was not available for us so the hotel had to hold the luggage in a storage and we had to come back for it as opposed to enjoying an extra half day of snowboarding which was our plan. The apartment had everything we needed even though we didn’t use the kitchen, and the sofa bed strangely enough was even more comfortable for us than the main bed (we like to watch tv and there wasn’t one in the bedroom). There was two bathrooms so we had his and hers and we love that. Overall it was a great experience I just wish we were able to stay longer

Great mountain escape!

Wonderful studio apartment style room with a fully stocked kitchen and great little patio. Just what we needed for our quick weekend getaway, although it would be very comfortable for a few days/week stay.

Not for summer - antiquated management

Cons: Noisy, bad bed no air - too hot
I arrived at 11:30 pm and the office is closed. My room key was left outside the office with a map. First the place is not well-lit, second the map is ridiculous for someone to figure out if they have never been to the property. How about writing the directions to the condo...i.e. walk down stairs, take first door to right, walk up two sets of stairs inside building...etc. The condo was 80+ degrees when I arrived. There is no air or fan in room 310. I had to leave the door to the balcony open all night and for the next two days straight to cool down the room, however it only cooled to 70 degrees. It is difficult to sleep in such stifling heat. The next day I returned back to the condo to a notice on my door that I needed to "register" with the office. Now I phoned in my reservation, gave my full name, address, phone, email and credit card. I received a receipt "paid in full" via email before I arrived. The office is open between 8 am -10 pm and I was out before and after that time. Apparently this lack of "registering" means the service to the condo is shut-off. That's right...they refused to clean my room for the rest of the stay!! Laurelwood - get over yourself. This is 2011 - staff your office to receive guests at our convenience, but don't harass or inconvenience guests because of your antiquated process. If you "require" additional information then PUT THAT IN THE RECEIPT you send to the guest PRIOR to arrival. RUDE!

Need taller Housekeepers

Pros: Quiet
Cons: dirty room
The location was fine. The condo was small but nice. The front desk staff wasn’t all that friendly. They did do their job, however, it felt like a visit to the DMV. The real problem was with housekeeping. They must all be 5 foot or less. There was trash left on the refrigerator, and all surfaces at that height or above were visibly dirty.

Had a wonderful stay!!

I would recommend to all my friends! The room was great (premier) with everything I needed for my week long vacation. They are a ski in/out and that made it great for my family to come in at lunch and not have to eat on the mountain (very expensive). At the end of the day my family was able to rest in there very nice hot tubs. Our condo had a wood burning fireplace and they even supplied the firewood at no charge. The staff was extremly helpful in helping us decide on different restaurants and helping us find a baby sitting service. Overall had a great time in Colorado and would love to come back in the summer.

Very Bad Place To Stay!

We went to Aspen for Fall foliage and stayed here for the weekend. The manager sent maintainance guy to check heater (in Sep(???)) at our place; but it was actually to spy our personaly belongings and to see if my little dog is inside the studio (we knew this when he said we had 6 sleeping bags). My little dog actually slept in the car, as I knew the rule of this place. The manager then came to me and litterally YELLED, he said "" I will come back to check this studio every hour and at mid night too."" He INSULTED us by saying we lied and we needed to pay extra for people and dog. That man shown his DISCRIMINATION and RUDENESS to all of us three times during our stay (!?). My friends staying at Timberline, which is a condo next door with much better quality of service and amenities, were very upset and made confrontation to them. We left Aspen with such an unpleasant vacation. It was a VERY BAD place to stay. We don't suggest this place for a vacation at all.

unfair refund policies

staff confused checkin and out dates and said they would try to re-rent room, but did not and charged for two extra days despite listing hotel as soldout on numerous websites including their own and when called also said they were sold out\n\nManager blamed staff for these mistakes and said they were still being trained\n\nnice location from slopes and nice
