"As described: secluded, a much- needed respite; chocolates helped! Coqui’s night calls make me sleep though some might need ear plugs. I spent most evenings under the lanai’s bugless tent (green geckos were allowed:-) and beautiful silver pheqsant(!), Bed, couch, HAMMOCK, shower are big plusses. FYI: a short drive from Hilo past 8am is clear; 3:30 onward competes with schoolbus traffic. "This location is absolutely beautiful. Weather you are looking to stay on the Kilo side of the island for the luscious land scape or to just disconnect for a while. The house is a home away from home in all aspects, especially if you have a family that wants to stay and hang out together. The easy check in/out was wonderful. The only thing that would have made the cooking and cleaning experience better would be the addition of measuring cups to the beautiful kitchen and a vacuum to use to clean. Mahalo to the wonderful family that runs this home it made our vacation that much more amazing. "

"Kelly was great! Great host would wakup early in the morning with homemade breakfast😋 she prepared herself and freshly baked muffins ,never did she serve the same breakfast always changing up her menu😋but always freshly baked goods for sure🥰Thanks Kelly we will for sure be back ❤️"

"My family and I had a great time at this property. It had plenty of room to for my family of five, plus an enclosed patio for hanging out and playing games. The property is centrally located between Hilo and Volcano National Park, and right down the street from a trailhead that will take you to a beautiful beach where we saw over 30 turtles. I would recommend it to anyone and can’t wait to return."
