The staff at the Blake are AWESOME! From Sherrita to the concierge (we didn't get his name--but I love his sparkly Santa hat), to the room maintenance team, everything was great! The room had exactly what we needed. The bed was comfortable, the pillows (I like 'em fluffy) were what we wanted/needed and the 'appointments' were great! We also appreciated the ability to set the thermostat to a temperature that suits us when we sleep (we like the cooler side). The restaurant associated with the Blake was tasty and perfect for breakfast and the bill ($) was what we anticipated. My husband's sons/my step sons live in Chicago and when we return, we will definitely stay at the Blake.

Very friendly staff. Showtime always had tips for places to eat or visit. The hotel was clean. I arrived early and my room was available for check in. It was located in a easily accessible area. I walked everywhere. I only caught an ride when I was too tired to walk. It's close to the public transportation - the L, bus, train, etc. I felt very safe and I was a solo female traveler. I would definitely stay again.

My stay at the blue-green hotel was a lovely. It was nice. The rooms were clean, the employees,the staff were very nice to us. The staff made our stay even more enjoyable by just being nice. I recommend this hotel with stay here again

This was our second time staying at the Blake. We love the ambiance and the staff. They have the nicest valet parking attendants as well as front desk folks. They take things seriously, but are still super friendly. Very professional. The room was spacious and lovely. We loved the decide that pays hommage to the history of the area. The bathroom was lovely with a big shower and nice decor. The only hiccup was all of the construction in front of their entrance, but that can hardly be helped. Tha KS for a great stay!

Sheritta at the front desk checked me in and Tim checked me out. They were uniformly fast and thorough at their jobs and made me feel welcomed and appreciated. Both responded promptly to my intervening (and sometimes odd) inquiries using their messaging concierge service. Five stars! Michael and Showtime helped with my bags. I remembered them both from my previous stay - their hospitality was one of the reasons I returned and why I will continue to do so. Five stars! Meli Cafe was great for breakfast both mornings of my quick trip; generous portions at reasonable price; quietly attentive and outstanding service. Five stars!
