"My wife and I stayed over Labor Day weekend '26. When we pulled up to the hotel, it was eerily empty/quiet. Maybe I expected to see valet and doorman to greet us etc but nothing. We walked in and went to the lobby. Not a guest in site. The check-in was quick and smooth with Ryan helping us, he could not have been nicer and more helpful. Being a Marriott/Bonvoy member, we qualified for an upgrade. I asked for a view. We got to our room which was quite large with a sitting area, bar area, huge walk-in closet and separate sinks in different areas - all in all, a very nice room. However, the view was completely obscured by trees and the room so dark that you needed most if not all the lights on even in the middle of the day. The bed and bedding was very comfortable. There was no door where the toilet is so if someone is using the toilet, no-one else can really be in the bathroom at the same time unless you like sharing. I guess everyone was at the pool as it was packed and I was barely able to find a lounge chair. I dragged over an unused umbrella and it was fine. Some of the lounge chairs were pretty worn and not suitable to be used. There was a DJ playing loud music and kids splashing and yelling. I have older kids so I have no issue with kids at all, I wanted something a lot quieter and chill. There are a couple of food options/restaurants but as we were visiting family, we went out for every meal. We had a drink at the hotel bar which was nice. A very nice hotel overall"
