Hotel was outdated. No complementary breakfast or free coffee in rooms. Queen double sweet only 2 pillows, no remote for TV. Dirty curtains and rugs. No hot water in sinks. Outside no attention or attempt to keep common areas clean. Trash, empty drinks, dead bird, homeless people sleeping in corner. Restaurant options minimal and over priced for the quality of food. Paid $420.00 for 2 nights plus additional $211.00 for incidental fee that I still have not been reimbursed for. Had to pay for parking through an app. No gambling in hotel had to go to casinos next door.

Where do I start! I traveled with my wife and 2 young kids, we chose showboat because its “family friendly” and it seemed as if it catered to kids. I checked in on Sept. 5th at 1145 pm and I checked out the same day at 11:55pm. That place shouldn’t not be open to the public the hotel lobby looks out dated and rundown. The air quality in the lobby smells like wet dog and marijuana. We got a room on 15th floor the elevator was rundown and looked unsafe. The hallway leading to our room had dirty carpet with stains and the smell was awful. The worst part was the room; our room door look like someone was trying to break it down with there feet. We entered the room and flipped the light switch and we were still in darkness. The lights don't work we had to use the bedside lamps. The floor had large stains, the walls had red stains coming down and the sofa looks like a homeless man was sleeping on it. The beds felt like they piled some cardboard together and stuff them into a form of mattress that place was horrible I would not recommend! Stay away from here! Especially with young kids.

This was a good choice if you’re traveling with children. The water park passes are discounted if you have a room. Water park was amazing but did get a little crowded. Great mixed drinks, basic food but a good amount of choices. Go carts were a lot of fun. I think they could do a better job with up keep. Hotel was a little dirty. Some of the areas seemed abandoned or under construction. 2ndfl. Room was basic. No coffee machine, a little run down. We did have a great time. Highlights being the water park, mini golf, roller rink and go carts.

This hotel was not what I expected it to be. The activities such as the arcade/waterpark should of been included within the reservation or atleast priced cheaper for the guests staying within the hotel. My room was okay I had a good view to the beach, the only down side was that I aint have no microwave or hair blow dryer. I would say this was a one time experience because I wouldnt stay here again.

Room was exceptionaly clean lobby and elevators job well done. But very inconvenient not jave a microwave or even a coffee machine remote was broken so couldnt watch tv or lower volume in the room not even an iron. Live the convenience of being ablr to enjoy the indoor waterpark ther is also mo more free parking to stay at any hotel in AC you pay $25.00 per day. I mean i will definitely stay here again just wish they improve on ammenities in rooms.

When you first walk into the room, it smells like no mildew. The bed is nearly on the floor. No mattress protector on the bed your sleeping on bear mattress with stains on it Pull out couch has stains on it no extra bedding for the pullout called front desk was told that I can come down to the front and grab a set of sheets and that we don’t have any pillows because we use a outside service for housekeeping so all we have is just sheets and she just threw up on the counter. I said that’s all we have. I paid well over $700 for two rooms and this is the service that I paid for diabolical .

Showboat was overall very very old and nasty. The lobby, the hallways and even the rooms were old and smells like tabacco. There is no security guards to be found and anyone can go up the elevators to the room floors. Plus there were not that many elevators. We, including my kids, have to witness a couple African American kids standing near the elevator on our floor urinating right there on the rugs. That was so disgusting. We always stayed at Ocean Casino but because it was a long weekend before school starts, all rooms were very expensive. But I rather pay more for a much cleaner, nicer and safer stay with my family. Waiting for elevators to check out was horrible too. Waited 20 minutes but the elevators were always full so we ended up taking the stairs with our luggages from the 10th floor. Unbelievable. Never coming back to stay even if the rooms are free.
