"Beautiful hotel, customer service top notch. Internet is free if you’re a Marriot Bonvoy member otherwise you’re paying somewhere like $4.95 a day or more. The glass elevators reminded me of the original Willy Wonka movie, iykyk. Anyhow, the room was nice, the bed was too low to the floor. I’m tall, with very long legs, so it was bit of strain getting out of bed. The carpet was very much outdated and had red markings on it. I asked for a city view, I was given a corner view from the 3rd floor. The M store was cashless and pricey, Starbucks customer service could use improvement, well just Emily. She was conversing with her mail team member while I was speaking to her about my order. I had to call her name, to make sure she heard me, because she didn’t type in my order or stop speaking with him. Which she then replies, I hear you and turns her head back to team member and laughs. (I was very shocked by the dismissive nature). While I do not frequent Starbucks and probably will not EVER again in Atlanta Marriott based off just that interaction. I still ordered my mocha latte grande with pumpkin pepita loaf. I was so turned off by the interaction I forgot to substitute the milk for oatmilk, nor did she ask if I wanted to use another milk. Thankfully I asked older women making the drinks to substitute it with oatmilk, so nicely she d n "

"This was my first time in Atlanta, and I can’t say enough great words about The Starling! In fact, I’d be scared to ever stay anywhere else because I don’t know if it would be as impeccable! The service, the decor, and the ambience alone was unmatched! My room was lovely and clean, and the bed was comfortable. I loved the vibe (and the food and drinks) of the Lantana, and I loved the convenience of Politan Row and Colony Park. I also appreciated its closeness to Piedmont Park as I enjoyed renting an E bike and riding around the park and stopping at the botanical gardens. The Starling is also a couple miles away from the museums, like the National Museum for Civil and Human Rights, as well as the Coca-Cola Museum and the Georgia Aquarium, which I enjoyed very much. Very walkable area, right around some great restaurants like Rumi’s and 5 Church. I did not rent a car and did not need to for what I was doing, which was literally just relaxing and doing a little sightseeing. Overall, it was a great stay at The Starling and I would never go anywhere else!"

"Overall a very good stay. A couple of minor improvements would be good: 1) the water for the shower took a long time to get hot 2) It would be nice to have a self serve vending machine to be able to buy sodas/snacks after the little convenience store closes. We have stayed here once before, and were reminded once again how friendly and professional the staff is at this hotel. "
