The worst hotel I ever stayed in.

Everything was dirty, smelled bad. Walls were paper thin, loud TVs all night, I can hear the neighbors having sex, and smoking. I would not recommend this hotel, even if it was for free.

Nice hotel in great location of Washington DC

Pros: Short cab ride to any attraction.
Cons: My only personal things were: The shower was really small and hard to work with. They put my room right next to the elevator so every time someone u
Location: Could walk to stores, whole foods and restaurants. The restaurants within a block radius were very good. 3 Coffee Shops within a block
The hotel for the low amount of money I spent was excellent. Room was very nice and clean. Beds were double sheeted and very nice with extra pillows. In great location of Washington DC. Very pleased with it.

This hotel was garbage

Worst hotel I have every been in, we paid for a king size bed and they tried putting us in a double full size bedroom I asked to see the room before he continued to check us in and I was apauled by the condition of the room, it smelled like wet moldy carpet and it was disgusting. I've stayed at a motel 6 before and paid half of what I was gonna pay for this room and this place made a motel 6 look great. Needless to say we canceled our reservation here and went somewhere else.

Nice place, Tiny Room

Pros: Convenient location, great staff.
Location: Close to McPherson square metro - a nice walk. It's DC - tons of stuff to do nearby!
I stayed here for work, and my colleague and I each got a room for the same price. My room was tiny and sparse, while my colleague's room was spacious and had two double beds (I had one in my room). It was clean and tidy, and the staff was very nice. It is very convenient to the metro. Just ask to not be in the creepy tiny room!

Spend the extra money for somewhere else!

Pros: Nothing
Cons: EVERYTHING
Thought we were getting a good deal but now I know why this hotel was cheaper! Room was beyond TINY!!! There was no where to place luggage but floor and two suitcases covered the floor in the room completely! Carpet had multiple stains! Not to mention I could feel holes in the floor in the hallway! Our comforter literally had 5 large yellow stains! Wi-Fi ONLY worked in the lobby!!! The "Complimentary Breakfast" cost an extra $5 a day per person and was waffles only! Huge disappointment! I wish we would have spent the little more and gone to another hotel! Non of this is an exaggeration at all!!! Stay somewhere else!

Disapointing.

Many steps up from the street to the lobby. Sadly in need of paint and carpet replacements. The "free wireless internet" works only in the lobby. There is no way to print a boarding pass. The room "closet" is a rack hanging from a door. No in-room coffee. We were told at the front desk that breakfast would be available at 6:30, but it wasn't until 7:00 so we left without.

Clean, small & old room, new-looking bathroom, adequate breakfast offering.

Pros: Free breakfast, Free Internet, Quiet
The District Hotel was a good value. It was expensive, but so are all hotels worth staying at in DC. The bed was small (probably a double), the room was tiny, but the bathroom felt nice. The remote control didn't work, but at least the TV did. I figure I saved about $80/night by opting for the District Hotel. It would've been nice if there had been a small desk, but at least the WiFi worked. The breakfast offered a reasonable selection of bagels and pastries, juice, and coffee. It was adequate.

good for college kids on a low budjet

Pros: very close to downtown
Cons: Poor breakfast, stinky
i understand that the price is low for an hotel near downtown but i do not accept the absolute missing care of the place ...the hotel has a mold smell throughtout, not even one foot to turn around the bed in the room, the 18 century tv has a remote that doesn't work and good luck to have it reprogrammed... internet works only in the lobby, elevetor is broken ( i guess for months now#, if you want breakfast don't wait until the last moment # 9.30) because you only get the left overs...

Unless on an extreme budget, spending $60 more at another facility would be well worth it.

Pros: Free breakfast, Close restaurants
Cons: not kept up
No phone service in room and although advertised, no wifi. Web page photos entirely misleading. Very quaint exterior but no extra care to indoor decor and up keep. Excellent neighborhood for restaurants and bus but NOT accessible to metro and a far walk in summer temperatures to sites.
