We've stayed at this property a number of times and have had some issues previous with our personal items, the hotel rooms have been stripped bare and more reflect Motel 6 room than what you'd expect from the Hyatt brand. The room did not a lounge chair just a small table and 2 dining chairs, mattress was a cheap innerspring and uncomfortable, pillows were terrible, we stayed 2 nights and room wasnt serviced, minibar was a joke with 1 small bottle of wine, 1 can of pringles and a chocolate as the complete offering, will not be staying here again!

Good environment with everything in walking distance, and a nice view on Darling habour. The gym view is fantastic as well and breakfast is above mediocre. Only drawback is lack of pool facility.

Dishonest staff.

Weekend away .. last minute. We just went in the room to sleep as when we arrived we went shopping then dinner. We checked out around 12PM. A couple of hours later, I realised we were charged for a bottle of wine from mini bar but they “found” it when we questioned the charge. I also left my charger in the room, but when I called thinking I’ll get it next time I’m in the city.. they advised it wasn’t there .. it just disappeared. The room wasn’t cleaned until next morning .. so the only people that have access to the room were staff. First and last time staying there .. I don’t like the dishonesty and I think it’s dodgy. Don’t recommend them.

I stayed at the Hyatt during the Sydney Marathon week. It was the perfect location and I was upgraded to a harbour front suite allowing for quiet and peaceful nights and a balcony to chill on. It was clean and comfortable. The staff were helpful and directed me to things I would have otherwise stressed about like my preferred pre-race meal.

They Lost my baggage on arrival and it took 4 phone calls (woeful experience) over 1.5 hrs to locate and then retrieve them. There was also toilet paper (more than a handful) left in the bathroom sink. There’s too many other better options to choose.

Our trip was ruined by stopping at the Hyatt Regency Sydney, check-in, rooms, lack of a pool and a customer services was terrible from start to finish even when we raised complaint we had no response and when we tried to change hotels it was a disaster. Definitely would not recommend the Hyatt Regency to anyone I know and would not use it again.
