I stayed at the Hyatt during the Sydney Marathon week. It was the perfect location and I was upgraded to a harbour front suite allowing for quiet and peaceful nights and a balcony to chill on. It was clean and comfortable. The staff were helpful and directed me to things I would have otherwise stressed about like my preferred pre-race meal.

They Lost my baggage on arrival and it took 4 phone calls (woeful experience) over 1.5 hrs to locate and then retrieve them. There was also toilet paper (more than a handful) left in the bathroom sink. There’s too many other better options to choose.

Our trip was ruined by stopping at the Hyatt Regency Sydney, check-in, rooms, lack of a pool and a customer services was terrible from start to finish even when we raised complaint we had no response and when we tried to change hotels it was a disaster. Definitely would not recommend the Hyatt Regency to anyone I know and would not use it again.

This is a typical convention hotel. If you aren’t part of a convention, you are a second class citizen. And God forbid, if you booked through a third party, you aren’t even a second class citizen. Hear that loud and clear EXPEDIA— they DO NOT appreciate your business. I can’t tell you how many times I was reminded by their staff that I booked through a third party and there was no good reason for them to continue to remind me. Can I get my Hyatt points? NO you booked through a third part and on and on. I paid good money to stay there for 5 days and they truly did NOT appreciate my business. They do not take people in order of check in at breakfast, oh probably because I booked through a third party. You can do better than this place and probably a lot cheaper.

The "ocean view room" was actually looking directly into roof of the building in front of the hotel, the other side is looking directly on to the highway. Staff are incredibly un-helpful - will never stay again. This hotel is a let down to the Hyatt hotel name.

Very comfortable stay. The room was a good size, with a king bed, a desk, and still plenty of room to move. Located in an incredibly convenient location in Sydney CBD, that is an easy walking distance from great shopping, restaurants, bars, the Circular Quay, and directly across the road from Sea Life Darling Harbour.
