What an absolutely amazing experience cannot recommend it enough. The minute You arrive to the minute you leave you are treated like royalty by all staff not just at the retreat from the gate of the zoo to the man who made me a coffee. Everything was beyond imagination and cannot recommend high enough.

Surprised how much I enjoyed staying at the wildlife sanctuary. Comfortable room, great lounge area with spectacular views. Dinner at the restaurant was good, portions could have been more generous but the overall experience was lovely. Also amazing views. We enjoyed wandering around the zoo and the after hours tour was fun. Overall an iconic Sydney experience, ideal for visitors and locals alike.

Amazing experience at the Taronga Wildlife Retreat. We enjoyed our stay there so much! Breakfast was wonderful and so were both tours. The view from breakfast of the Sydney Harbour is breathtaking. So worth the visit! And a very sweet gift from the staff for my birthday, very thoughtful.

A really wonderful stay!

I absolutely loved staying here, so much better than I expected. Our room was calming, clean and comfortable just what we wanted. The view of the kangaroos from our room was uniquely brilliant and the whole vibe in the hotel was awesome. Breakfast and dinner were great with exceptional harbour views. Then the access to the zoo is super easy and I enjoyed the guided tour parts too! Can't recommend enough and it is all for charity which is even better!

Amazing hospitality from the team at Wildlife Retreat! The whole compound from the accommodation to the zoo and even the tours provided was very well planned and thoughtful. Fantastic use of the space they had and highly recommended for families. Make sure you do the night walk tour, it was an amazing experience being allowed into the empty zoo at night. Special shout out to one of the front desk staff Cameron who entertained our little daughter and was super helpful with our airport transfer as well!

We stayed for Mother's Day. It is a beautiful property, with lux amenities, comfortable beds and has fantastic dining options. The highlights of course are the animals, plants and the overall beautiful environment. The kangaroo enclosure was just outside our window, and there was a spectacular waterfall outside the door. It was a joy to stay in such a nice property and have an Australian native wildlife sanctuary outside. The stay includes two days to explore the zoo and tours. I highly recommend it as a family adventure.

Amazing spot but needs rooms to be revamped

Amazing view from the lounge and Me-Gal restaurant. Rooms are small for family of 2 and a toddler. If you have dust allergy, do carry your meds as room was not as clean. We could clearly hear someone walking in the room upstairs as well so a little noisy. Animal room is good if you are lucky to see 1 koala for more then 5 minutes your entire stay.
