"Great location and nice hotel"
It took me 2 days from Memphis to get to Singapore. We arrived in Singapore at 1:40 AM . Warm welcome at the hotel. We were 5 family members and the receptionist changed our rooms to two queen beds in each room which was helpful. Excellent location of the hotel and there is a shopping mall in the basement which excellent food places which was very convenient. The only surprise was that breakfast was not included in our package which I probably overlooked. I thought that breakfast was for everybody who stayed at such a high priced hotel.

"Good location. Room is O.K."
I reserved a king-size-bed room (deluxe room in the main tower). But at the check-in time, I was told only twin-bed room was available. Hotel room is clean and in good condition. Bathroom has dirty grout and needs update. Not sure whether the rooms in the other towers are better. Many good restaurants are within walking distance.

"Clean and efficient business hotel"
Background - I travel to Singapore frequently (twice a year for the last 10 years) and have stayed at various 4+ stars hotels and know my way around pretty well. The M hotel primarily caters to the business people because of its location in the financial district, but is within 3-4 blocks from the East-West MRT station so it is quite convenient for most purposes. It is a 15-20 min walk to Chinatown if you know where you're going. The area is relatively quiet in the evening, which is a big plus for me. The hotel did not stand out in any particular way, but I would definitely consider staying there again since it was very reasonably priced. The room I had was nicely sized for a Singapore hotel but the decor was very bland. The bathroom was clean and functional, but nothing to write home about. Like most hotels in Singapore, the bed was very firm. It is something American travelers have to get used to. Also like most other hotels, internet connection was pretty expensive. I did not try the hotel restaurant but it looked like it had a nice selection. For those wanting to try the local fare, there are the Maxwell Market and Lau Pa Sat (which are 2 of the best-known eateries in Singapore) both within a 10-15 min walk. The staff was efficient and courteous, and the check-in and check-out were smooth, even for a 1am arrival and 5am departure. I didn't have to make any special arrangement to get to the airport - the taxi service at the hotel did the job even at those hours.

"Fantastic experience."
Though we arrived extremely early, we were granted early check-in and late check out for the following day. It made our scheduling for our 36 hours in Singapore much easier. Location is great. Close to the Singapore Flyer and Flight Experience as well as several malls with any restaurants. Everyone was very helpful from making tour arrangements to getting proper connector for charging computers. Definitely a hotel we would gladly use again.

"The service could be more sophisticated"
The hotel's location is perfect. The colonial district, all the major attractions are easy to be reached by the MRT. So many things are in walking distance! The staff could be more attentive to the clients. The restaurants are overpriced. Generally, it's a good place to stay while in Singapore.

"Wonderful Hotel, Fantastic Trip!!!"
In October of 2008, I had the opportunity to accompany my husband on a business trip to Singapore. My husband has stayed at The Regent several times before...this was my first and hopefully not my last! I arrived in Singapore a few days after my husband. After a LONG flight to get there, I was ready to get some rest. As the cab drove up to The Regent I was impressed by the"curbside appeal" very clean and upkept! As the doorman opened the cab door...He greeted me by name and said he was expecting me! The staff all spoke English so there were not communication barriers and very polite. Before I knew it I was in the room. The rooms are very well appointed, clean, and quiet! The refrigerator was stocked with water, cokes, snacks, and a mini-bar. We went out after my husband got back to the room..about a half a block away from the hotel was a nice little mall with a food court, french patisserie, and since I am a Starbucks junkie they even had a Starbucks..and it tasted just like home. We went for a walk down to Orchard Road (about 5 blocks away) all I can say is WOW!!! shopping paradise. The streets are clean, I never felt out of place or scared walking and exploring by myself during the following days. They have a great indoor jacuzzi indoors and workout room and a beautiful pool outdoors, but be forewarned the tile is black around the pool and under the sun on the equator the black tile will BURN your feet....so take your sandals with you!! Once at the pool the staff brought Ice water and friut kabobs. The breakfast buffet is beyond fantastic...they offer asian, fench and american cuisine! AWESOME HOTEL!!

"Clean, comfortable, great location!"
If it had not been for the Formula One race going on during my stay, this hotel would've been perfect. The only real setback with the Formula One Race was that the road going to the hotel was blocked off, so the traffic flow was ridiculous! The hotel itself was beautiful once you got inside. The staff was very nice and helpful. The room itself was very modern and clean. The bed was very comfortable and clean. The hotel was in easy walking distance to many local attractions, including Clark Quay and the Raffles Hotel. The subway is also very close by, so it's an easy jump to the Marina Bay Sands as well.

    Singapore Hotel & Travel Guide

Singapore packs the delights of an entire country into a space the size of a city. On this island, you can admire sophisticated skyscrapers, hike foliage-covered hills, scare yourself at thrill rides, or shop at expansive malls. You can also stay almost anywhere, since the public transportation system will quickly and inexpensively take you wherever you want to go. What's more, everything is in English because of Singapore's British colonial past. Reserve one of the hotels in Singapore so you can taste all that this Asian powerhouse has to offer.

    Out and About in Singapore

A smartphone or other Internet device can help with planning your itinerary. Fortunately, Singapore hotels with WiFi are common, as are hotspots throughout the city. What's your vacation priority? If it's shopping, head for one the malls that tower over Orchard Road. For nature, explore the plants at the Gardens by the Bay or the animals at the Singapore Zoo and Night Safari. If relaxation is high on your list, stay at one of the hotels near the Changi Beach Park and enjoy the relatively isolated coastal location. If you're a thrill-seeker, spend a day at Sentosa Island, where Universal Studios, adventure trails, water parks, and a cable car all vie for your attention.

    Eating and Drinking

As the crossroads of commerce and travel for the region, Singapore offers both Eastern and Western Cuisines. Spare your budget by dining at hawker centers, which surround tables and chairs with booths run by independent cooks. Many such eateries stand next to cheap hotels in Singapore. Prefer a high-end night out? You can choose from Chinese, Indian, European, and American restaurants that have both five-star service and cuisines. To end your day, treat yourself to a bar with a view. Altitude stands out as the world's highest outdoor bar, perched on the top of the city's third tallest skyscraper. At the other extreme are the bars at Raffles, which soothes your soul with views of its ground-floor Palm Gardens.

Ready to sample the city-state? Travelocity has some of the best Singapore hotel deals.
