We arrived at 3pm and were told that our rooms were not ready even though check-in was meant to be at 2pm. We then returned at 5pm and we told that rooms were still not ready but they could put us in different rooms, we were too tired from multiple flights to argue and accepted. The rooms were very dated and full of mould, bedsheets and towels smelled musky and were damp. We had a pair of shoes in a cardboard box and the box literally turned into wet cardboard and started falling apart after 2 hour in the room. There was one tiny window in each room looking inside the hotel with no natural light at all. Air-conditioning was also extremely loud in every room so beware of you are a light sleeper. We spent one night and asked to be moved the next day. New rooms were a bit better but certainly not what you would expect from 4-star
Breakfast buffet was also disappointing. The restaurant is very dated just like the rest of the hotel and definitely under-staffed. Food and drinks selection is very limited and the quality is very mediocre. Some stations are empty waiting to be refilled while others (i.e. omelette) have long queues while poor staff trying to keep up.
The rest of the facilities like swimming pool, lifts etc are just as bad.
This is honestly the worst hotel we've ever stayed at (and we've stayed happily at other Furama hotels across the world). The only positives are the location and staff who are trying to do their best given the atrocious state of this establishment.
