Shonan Hotel & Travel Guide\n

Shonan boasts a great selection of places to rest. At this point in time, Travelocity's easy-to-use guide has 14 places to stay within a 6-mile (10-kilometer) distance of Shonan's center.

The Breath Hotel, is an exciting place to stay for the time-short traveler as it's the most centrally located lodging choice in Shonan.

12 miles (20 kilometers) from central Shonan, you will come across the Jinya Ryokan. The Hotel New Grand is 13 miles (21 kilometers) away. Some more alternatives in the region are the InterContinental Yokohama Grand along with the The Yokohama Bay Hotel Tokyu.

The greater Kanto region is worth having a look at too. Spend time at Kanto's ruins, castles and historic palaces. Anyone with a passion for nature could also put aside some time to admire its beaches and coastal plains. Common things to do in this particular part of Japan include snowboarding and skiing.

Naka is 13 miles (21 kilometers) to the northeast of Shonan and features Yokohama Port Symbol Tower and Jizo-Oh's Mausoleum. If you'd like to get to Naka, check out the rooms at the Yokohama Bay Sheraton Hotel & Towers and New Otani Inn Yokohama. Or, you could consider staying in Chinatown, 13 miles (22 kilometers) northeast of Shonan, where you'll find the Rose Hotel Yokohama and Navios Yokohama. During your time in Chinatown, set aside a little time to visit the Osanbashi International Passenger Terminal and Yokohama Archives of History.

If experiencing the thrill of stadium sport if on your list of things to do, make the time to visit Tokyo Dome, located 30 miles (50 kilometers) to the northeast of Shonan. Any sports fans that are hoping to find Travelocity-listed accommodation in the area around the game should look at the The Ritz-Carlton, Tokyo or the Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Marunouchi.

Located 25 miles (38 kilometers) away from Shonan's downtown is Haneda Airport. Find nearby rooms at Haneda Excel Hotel Tokyu or Royal Park Hotel THE Haneda.

"I booked a room here for two nights, staying just one. We had a late night flight, so this gave us a comfy place to hang out and wait (HIGHLY recommend doing this!!). Customer service here is exceptional. The amenities are many and make you feel welcome and right at home. It’s walking distance to restaurants, a shrine, and even Costco. 7/11 is right around the corner. The shuttle from the airport didn’t work out timing wise for us, so we hopped in a taxi…under $8 and well worth not having to deal with a bus. The staff cares about food allergies and was the most attentive I’ve ever seen on the matter. How refreshing! They prepared a list of what I couldn’t have at breakfast, making my decisions easy (and there is so much that I still had plenty and was full before even getting to try everything)."
