When we checked in, no staff were at the front desk. I had to use a tablet to register myself and even had to reach over the counter to grab a blank plastic room key to scan for myself. It was very odd. The hotels stark decor with red and black looked very unappealing. The room itself looked run down and had things that looked worn out or scuffed in the bathroom. The breakfast area was tiny and uncomfortable, with only a few tables. The food was good but there were very few items to choose from.

The woman checking me in was very nice and explained things well, but when I was trying to negotiate the side door carrying my stuff, one employee came from across the parking lot to help. Fantastic service! The room was clean but worn as parts of the bathroom floor were coming up. wrapping the tv remote in plastic was a great idea! Lots of street noise but was able to get some work done on my computer without a problem. Had been traveling for several days and this was the best night of sleep I got. The breakfast burritos were fantastic. I would definitely stay here again.

The room was beautiful. Love the view from the dining area. The front receptionist seemed like she was having a bad day. Not talkative or friendly at all. But the dining staff was very nice. Breakfast is limited and they restrict what you're allowed to eat so was dissapointed as other reviews built up my expectations too high. But overall its clean and comfortable would consider staying again if in the area.

Overall cute hotel. Room could use some fixing up. The interior saftey latch to the door was missing two screws and was loose. The exterior window lock was not super secure, the window opened up enough with the lock "locked" to stick hand through. The ground floor had a damp type of smell. The other floors seem nice though. Has breakfast and a gym but gym has limited hours. Staff were nice. Bed was comfortable. TV cable had bad connection and image was pixelated.

Good low-budget motel with a very nice lobby, AOK rooms, ample parking, and good breakfast burritos. Be aware that they allow dogs. We're fine with dogs, and the rules are that the owner is supposed to stay with the dog, however some owners do not, which can result in a dog barking across the hall unabated. We had this problem on one of our three nights.

When we pulled up, there were crank heads going thru the garbage. The room we first got assigned didn’t have a flip latch, and had a bug climbing on the walls. The next room we were assigned had a dirty towel hanging on the shower rod and hair in the tub. We had a hard time sleeping cause you could hear all the outside noises and the bed would squeak every time we moved. When I talked to the staff, they were very nice.

In town for work, I’ve stayed all over SF, usually at The Sage. Very similar experience. I’d suggest this hotel to everyone. Needs some TLC, but I’ll be back.

The opening and closing of other hotel rooms are pretty loud and don't even think about grabbing the snacks that they have in the lobby. They will charge you up the *** for them. But overall, pretty good.
