Comfort and real New Mexican style

Pros: The decor, the ambiance, the staff, the biscochitos (local cookies) at the front desk in the afternoons!
Location: Walk to museums, Old Town Albuquerque, restaurants, light shopping. Close to the interstates so getting around the state is easy.
We've stayed in the Hotel Albuquerque before and we try to book there when we travel to NM. The staff are welcoming and friendly as well as efficient. The lobby has plenty of comfortable seating for reading or meeting with friends. The restaurant/bar (Garduno's) has excellent food and a warm atmosphere. We actually ate there more often that we had planned, because it was so good. The rooms have plenty of space, and we've always had a great view. (There were hot air balloons up some mornings this time!)

Excellent hotel. Walking distance to many places o

Pros: Everything
Cons: Desk communication, I missed an important message due to front desk error. Not bad enough to down grade my experience.
Location: Center of old Old town.
Great ambiance. I loved every minute of my stay. Everything one could ask for in a great hotel.

Lovely hotel in Old Town

Pros: We enjoyed the ambience, and the staff was very friendly.
Cons: It would be great if breakfast was provided.
Location: There are many things to do nearby: shopping, dining, relaxing, a park--even a grocery store!
This was our second stay at the Hotel Albuquerque in Old Town. Its location was perfect for us--close to Old Town with lots of shops and restaurants nearby. This time we ate in the restaurant in the hotel, and the food was very good.

Relaxing Southwest style

Pros: The king bed was loaded with pillows for a luxurious sleep and a relaxing morning read.
Cons: The bathroom was clean but very dated.
Location: Very near to the Old Town square and restaurants.
I stayed for just one night, Christmas Eve. This hotel is very near to the Old Town square for walking to see the Christmas Eve luminarias. Plenty of restaurants nearby and the hotel restaurant featured friendly, attentive staff and excellent New Mexico inspired dishes. My room was large with unique furnishings that made it feel a little more personal than the average corporate hotel room.

Unexpected Pleasure

Pros: Location, friendliness and cleanliness.
Location: Old Town and several museums are within walking distance. Trolley service from hotel.
Not only did Hotel Albuquerque exceed our expectations in terms of location, cleanliness and an exceptional staff, we opened our drapes the next morning to see several hot air balloons outside our north window. Surely an unexpected pleasure. However, even without the balloon sighting, you won't be disappointed. Special thanks to Christina at the front desk for her service with a smile.
