The exterior property is nice and the staff is exceptional. The room could stand a renovation. The floors creaked, the closet doors had to be forced open and the sound insulation wasn't the best.

Lovely hotel and grounds are lovely.

The hotel and grounds are lovely. I had a few problems. My first room was tiny with one small window opening. I complained and was given a better room. Two skylights and too soft bed made my stay uncomfortable.

great hotel centrally located

Pros: the location, staff and spa
Cons: The bathrooms could be updated
Location: Almost everything is in walking distance. Restaurants, galleries , museums and historical sites are a few minutes away,
the staff was very helpful, the spa and restaurant were wonderful.

Lovely grounds and close to plaza

Pros: The location, the grounds, and the common areas.
Cons: The rooms could be improved by updating the art, etc. and adding a comfortable sitting area.
Location: A great location which is in walking area of the plaza which has wonderful shops and restaurants
We enjoyed our stay here and would be sure to return. The grounds are lovely as are the main building and restaurants. If you enjoy antiquities , you will enjoy this hotel. The rooms are ok----------could use some updates . Also a more comfortable sitting area in the room would be a huge help. The bedding was excellent and the fireplace was a great touch. This hotel has a great location to the plaza and art district.

Rooms Bring This Great Spot Down

We stayed for 5 days and loved the common areas (restaurant, bar, lobby, patio and grounds) and staff, but the five nights and mornings were miserable as the room was in great need of refurbishing. When arrived offered an upgrade but the suite was 2 small rooms with no drawer space or anywhere to put your luggage. Rooms were dark and carpet was old and stained. It just felt dirty. Shown 4 more rooms and finally settled on a room with 2 king sized beds deciding to use one of the beds to put our luggage on as again no drawers or storage except for small hanging closet. Furniture looks low-end second hand and lighting fails to illuminate the room sufficiently. Bathroom, although very small, has been upgraded but until the rooms are refurbished, we will not be going back.
