Nice hotel and setting didn't get what we paid for

We paid for a larger room but we're given a smaller one. We of course didn't know until we were already in room. Nothing hotel could do because payment went through Travelocity. Also one of the room keys didn't work, had one key that did but it took my husband's muscles to turn the handle enough to open the door. Restaurant that was recommended by staff was closed. Other than that, had a nice getaway.

Mixed thoughts.

Pros: Location and front desk staff. Wine happy hour. Pet friendly. Two pools Cons: Room size and lack of drawer/closet space! Some rooms very susceptible to outside noise. Poorly thought out furnishings. Okay: Breakfast. It was nice when it was stocked. Had to speak to management to get that done. Unacceptable: My husband's leather jacket disappeared when staff moved us from one room to another. There are lots of choices in the same area. We will try one of those on our next stay.

The location was great. Close to all the things we wanted to do in walking distance. The disappointment was the parking ( very little space for parking) and no air conditioning, especially when it was 90 degrees during the time we were there. It was very uncomfortable to sleep at night. I also need an explanation. I thought that my bill from you included the resort fee. I was charged again $32.00. Please let me know if the charge by the hotel is correct. Thank you

Birthday stay in Santa Barbara

Pros: The location and the room

Location: Great location and plenty of restaurants and shopping and beach across the street.
I had made our reservations well in advance and requested a king ocean view. We did get the king and a partial ocean view and were happy with that. We were not happy with the first impression checking in with Areyla, who was on the phone and could not get off to assist us. Also her appearance and demeanor was less that pleasing. She told us to come back at 4PM and it was 11:30AM. She also told us that they charge $18.00 for pakrign , which is ludicrous! We paid for that not knowign that we woudl find street parking. We went to lunch and then came back around 2:30 assuming we would surely have a room. Mr. Bird at the front desk assured us that it was not ready and he would check on it. All the while we sat in the lobby and watched as each guest was checked in and provided information as to where their room was. Finally my husband went up to Mr. Bird again after going to look at the room and it was closed up tight. Mr. Bird still did not give us our key. We sat for a few minutes more when finally Craig asked again and fortunately Rafael told Mr. Bird he had it handled, gave us our key and we proceeded to our room. We were not told when we made the reservation that one pool was closed and were very happy to see that we were not placed in that area but by the pool that was open. We also were not told where the ice machine was located and called to find out only to be told that is "was under lock and key". But assured we would receive it soon, a half hour to 45 minutes went by was

Not worth the Price

Pros: The staff was extremely friendly and professional. My wife left earrings behind and they called to let us know and kept them safe until we returned.
Cons: The tiny rooms that are overpriced and also not letting guests know that facilities aren't operating.
Location: The location is fantastic. State street is walking distance and the Harbor is across the street with plenty of great restaurants and things to do.
I stayed at the Hotel Milo before it's name change. It was President's Day Weekend and a lot of the hotels were already insanely expensive and the Hotel Milo is in a great location so the rate seemed bearable. My husband I were absolutely stunned at how small the room was. I've stayed at Motel 6's that were bigger. When I looked back at the booking, it did give the dimensions of the room but it wasn't clear from the photos or the way it was advertised. I also made it a point to only look at hotels that had hot tubs because that's something we love doing. When we got there, they said it was not working. I realize these things happen but this was supposed to be a romantic weekend away and instead we found ourselves staying in a tiny, hot room (these rooms aren't equipped with A/C) and not hot tub. It was definitely a disappointing stay.

Great location abd buggy room

The location is premium, the room is old and full of bugs, no AC, fans do not work right, you can not open the windows on the first floor.

Great hotel. Very cute, welcoming staff, and right on the water!

Pros: Free breakfast, Close restaurants, Free Internet, free 2 hour bike rentals
This hotel exceeded my expectations. I was very pleased with the amenities, cleanliness, and ambiance, especially given the low price. Only complaint is that the walls are a bit thin - noise from the room next to ours definitely traveled.

good service, bad room quality

the hotel is very spectacular. It is a charming place. Good service ans good atmosphere. Actually there is no lift, because of technical problems. The airconditioning in the rooms (we had 2 rooms) is terrible and it doesnt work. Beds are too soft. For the price we paid, considering lift and rooms problems we were very unsatisfied.

The rooms were really small and had wall heaters instead of central heat/air cond. Minuscule bathroom. $2 for in-room coffee!!!

Cons: Noisy
Loved the staff at the front desk. They really tried to accommodate us, like when the jacuzzi was cold! Nice little place, but not worth the price.
