Because I paid via 3rd party, I was told I had to stay on one side of the hotel and if I wanted the other side where it was quieter and felt safer, I had to pay the upgrade fee of $25 per night. I was told it was an upgrade because it had a patio…basically paid to have a patio table and chair that I didn’t use. The room was outdated, old bedding and carpeted.👎

Better (and cheaper) than glamping, but not much more secure. Objectively, this is not a "7". But factoring in a price that is half or even 1/3 of other area hotels and is cheaper than "glamping" a 7 might be appropriate based upon value. Most of the rooms have entrances on the back of the building with only a small window in the bathroom to view your vehicle through. This made me feel nervous about the security of my vehicle and the belongings inside. Once inside the room, I realized my belongings were not safe there either. There was one lock on the rear entrance door. The manual latch lock that prevents housekeeping from entering when you are inside was broken. There was an adjoining room with only a cheap door handle and a lock that could probably be opened by an amateur with a credit card. There was a chair pushed up against it to slow my neighbor's entry into my unit. The sliding glass door led to the patio area that had 6 cigarette butts left from previous guests on the floor. There was no screen, so fresh air = fresh bugs. The glass door required a little manhandling to open and when I latched it (a slight stretch), the door's frame pulled away from the wall it was attached to leaving a noticeable vertical crack running the length of the door. The toilet seat wasn't properly attached but a man arrived within 90 minutes of my complaint to address it. I slept better than camping. But a possible theft of my stuff would wipe out any savings on the room.

Our first and last experience with Rodeway. We booked 2 rooms for 2 nights. After checking in we found both rooms not clean. One room was very very dirty and smelly. Asked for another room but were refused even though there were 8 rooms available (we checked on their website and could have booked for an even lower price than what we paid for!). Receptionist told us to contact manager and disappeared. Could not contact management. We ended up leaving same afternoon for another hotel and did not even bother to come back for the following night. This place is not that cheap, spend a few more dollars and you can get a much more decent place! This place really gave Rodeway a very bad reputation. Actually we canceled our next booking at another Rodeway due to this experience!

Absolutely disgusting property. Very run down and dirty. The beds were hard as rocks and pillows were flat. The bathroom was so gross we didn’t use it to shower. We stayed only as long as needed to sleep and left. We tried to get a refund so we could stay anywhere else and the property manager refused. I’m not that picky as a person but I would never recommend anyone stay here.
