The room was small but adequate. Facing the road, however, I got the music from the outdoor patio along with the street noise. Expedia also said I should have received a complimentary bottle of wine, but no one at the desk seemed to know about that. I like the Hassayampa, however, due to its location and history. It is our lodging of choice in Prescott.

Helpful (and apologetic) front desk staff and our friends loved the elevator! Computer problems slowed our check in, but it was early and the desk staff made sure we were in adjoining rooms. Tv went out in the middle of the night, but again, no biggie. Very quiet and clean. Great location.

When someone is making several trips to get ready for checkout, it would be helpful for the desk clerk to at least hold the front door open to help when employees are just chit chatting.

While not a complimentary breakfast, we felt it was a good value with great service. Four stars for comfort as our room had a uniquely configured bathroom with little leg space and inconveniently placed toilet paper, but may have just been our room setup. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and helpful.

The positives: the common areas in the hotel were really nice, the location was great, it was dog friendly and they have some tables in the lobby you can sit with your dog and the restaurant will serve you from them. Negatives- while it was cool they would let you sit in the lobby with your dog, the service was extremely slow and the food was bad. the room was so tiny, too small for two people and a dog. The toilet was placed right in front of the bathroom door where you had one foot or so to get in the bathroom between the door and toilet. The building is historic this the walls and ceilings are thin, you can hear everything, it was so noisy and our dog and us barely slept all night. The bed was extremely uncomfortable. It was such an uncomfortable experience that I booked a different hotel for the second night I was supposed to stay here and just ate the cost. Wouldn't stay here again.
