Average lodging in a stunning place.

We were quite tired by the time we reached the hotel. The key card given to us took several tries to work. Then later didn't work. I was given a new set of key cards and they didn't work. We went back to the front desk again and a maintenance worker came back to make sure the cards worked, which they didn't but he then got them to work. It also took me over an hour on the phone to get the wifi to connect. The room was average with an above average price. The bathroom was small with very little counter space. The mini fridge vibrated in its cabinet, especially noticeable at night. The Lodge is dated with no particular charm.

We had a great view from our room of the canyon which was lovely. Everything was walkable! Only hiccup, it was difficult to find parking for our rental car.

The building is old and out dated, the walls are kind of thin. But...staying on the rim is pretty cool. We had a view of the canyon when we woke up in the morning :)

Dining options were difficult and long wait Very little counter space in the bathroon for personal items for two persons. Expensive and out dated. The staff at El Tovar dest not good at directions, couuld be new and inexperienced since its the beginning of the season....if they were 70 or 80 yrs old and had to follow their own directions they would be lost and disoriented...had to ask others for help. One of the shuttle drivers went way out of her way to assist and direct us. She was amazing!

Adequate for a National Park

For a National Park hotel it met expectations. The room was clean and comfortable but we did not receive service on the second day. The coffee was not replenished and trash was not emptied. The restaurant at the El Tovar was excellent.

Nice sized room right at the South rim with easy access to Grand Canyon shuttle buses and the other attractions in the village. Free parking. Walk to restaurants and interpretive center, shops, etc. near Bright Angel Trail. Rooms are standard hotel rooms. But the view…

Dining at the trevo hotel was problematic. The host kept sitting at an unwanted or dirty table. Luckily and thankfully the manager helped me out both times
