The property was clean. The room was clean. The staff was nice. Food was OK however there’s no lighting around so please bring a flashlight if you’re walking no sidewalks either. Also, there was no heat in the room so I’ll bring warm pajamas. You have to turn on the heater if you want heat in the room the room was under 60 at night.

Breakfast was not included. National park and other points were convenient. Bus shuttle service was great. The bus operators were very nice and helpful. Though at Hermits Nest the bathrooms were dirty.

Hotel room needs deeper cleaning and repairs done.

They replaced the towel bar but left the marks and holes from the old towel bar. Mold where the top part of the tub surround meets the bottom part. Left my sleep meds and when I called, they said they would send my info to the staff. Not a peep. I’m over that but to pay what we paid, I was disappointed. We own VRBOs and repairs and cleanliness are a must!

Room has some updates but could use more. Front desk staff was nice and changing reservations worked out through Expedia. They could use more housekeeping staff. Not the cleanest. Housekeeping was around but we had to get our own cot from the hallway. The first cot was not clean, so chose another. It is a campground like atmosphere, so expect that. Bring a flashlight due to being a “dark sky” area. We used our car to go to points of interest,village, store, and lobby because nothing is super close.

What a wonderful experience. I feel so fortunate to have the opportunity to stay inside Grand Canyon National Park and Yavapai Lodge. I highly recommend staying at Yavapai Lodge when visiting the Grand Canyon. The food at the lodge was 't the best.
