3/5 stars. The room didn’t have a microwave, and the room was quite cold resulting in a massive heat fluctuation when utilizing the heater. Room is also over a mile away from the rim, and there is no transportation for those with luggage as it’s not allowed on the National Park Shuttle. Walls are very thin, you can hear every door opening and foot step throughout the dorms.

The beds were small. The room said it slept 5-7, that was incorrect. The faucet was missing a filter, so water sprayed aggressively as soon as you opened it. The hallways are run down with carpet that’s way past its life. There are no amenities or recreational offerings. Not all families are able to enjoy the night sky in a pitch black setting in 30 degree weather. Some indoor activities would be nice.
