Although the hotel is under construction, my stay was wonderful because of the gracious and accommodating staff. From the registration desk to the food staff, and most especially the valet staff!! Will definitely visit again!

Walkable to most places of interest

Great place. They are undergoing a renovation so the early 7:00 a.m. noise wasn't fun but the room was comfortable. The concierge was knowledgeable and friendly. The location is awesome. We walked every where but trolley cars also go nearly every place you'd like to go. We walked to the riverside park by the Mississippi, Jackson Square, the French Market, the World War 2 museum and to lots of fantastic restaurants. The breakfast is decent but the same all three days. The room was mostly clean but not spotless. The garden area is very nice and peaceful. The pool is very, very small. Overall a very enjoyable stay and a wonderful vacation!

Great stay

My husband and I went to NO for 5 days. This hotel was perfect for what we wanted: affordable, walking distance to French Quarter, clean and updated and friendly. Not to mention it was much quieter than those hotels located in the French Quarter. There were some minor things in the bathroom that could be updated but overall it was great. The room was always clean and the staff at the front had car services ready for you whenever you needed it. I would definitely stay here again.

Great location.

Pros: Hotel was clean and friendly.
Cons: Noise that comes up from Lobby.
Location: Location is good for walking to most places and attractions.
We could walk to most places we wanted in the French Qtr, Garden Dist, and surroundings. Riverwalk very close also. Our "NOLA" experience was wonderful. Only concern with hotel was the echoing noise that comes from the lobby; but other than that, we were very pleased.

Mostly nice, but

Pros: Nice staff and reasonbly priced.
Cons: Access between floors.
Location: Downtown New Oleans, including the nearby French Quarter, is busy and interesting.
The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms, though small, were comfortable and clean, and the housekeeping staff was excellent, The hotel is an agglomeration of seven old buildings, While attractive, interesting, and historically significant, it is also a maze. Notably it has few stairways. If, like me, you are on a low floor and would prefer not to wait on the always slow elevators, you will be hard-put to find a stairway. The closest to my bedroom led only to an alarmed outside door. The next closest (some distance away) led to the bar/coffee shop at the front of the hotel. Importantly, if a fire, shuts down the elevators, it is not clear that everyone could get out.

Great location

This hotel was perfect! It was a great hotel with lots of New Orleans character. The location was perfect, short walking distance from the French quarter, but far enough away for peace and quiet. I would highly recommend staying here! The concierge was always very helpful giving us tips for our trip!

Would like a window

Pros: Nice lobby, quaint pool area and included, simple breakfast.
Cons: Many rooms do not have an exterior window. The large, stark wall makes this more obvious and annoying. Can't add windows so at least put up some art
Location: New Orleans is a blast.
Very nice, repurposed property. Check in was easy, Concierge was friendly and helpful, but bartender was a bit weird. Also had some charges added on (water and internet that I swear I selected the free one). Otherwise, very nice and in a great location where it's easy to get to most NO destinations.

Great place to stay close to convention center

Pros: Pretty much, everything. Appreciated the availability of the cold lemon water in the lobby and the always available cookies.
Location: French Quarter, Riverwalk, Aquarium, Canal Street, several restaurants, Westin Canal Place.
Great location for meeting at the convention center. Close to French Quarter, Canal Street, Riverwalk & many other places of interest in NO. Welcoming staff, beautiful entryway & lobby. Breakfasts were good. Nice to relax in the warm pool in the evenings. Loved the architectural detail from the conversion from seven individual buildings to one.

Clean and quiet in a great location

Pros: Pleasant staff and easy-going atmosphere.
Cons: Stronger coffee at breakfast.
Location: Check out the Haro Café on Carondelet for great coffee and chocolates, and the Rebellion Bar & Urban Kitchen on Camp for a creative dining experience.
The hotel is in a set of interconnected and nicely renovated historic buildings in the CBD just two blocks from the French Quarter and a few blocks from the Warehouse district. The complimentary full breakfast is a nice feature, as is the bar at the front of the hotel. A good place to stay for business or pleasure.
