The stay was great. I'm originally from New Orleans so the redid the house really well. The area isn't bad behind Easton high. Everything went very smoothly. Was able to contact host and responded very quickly.

The host lives next door, but you'll discover this only after confirming your booking. If you're a cat lover, this place is ideal for you! Stray cats are fed on the porch—one is brown, and the other is black. While the furniture does have some stains, particularly on the bar chairs and couch, it's still functional. The futon next to the TV has one wooden leg and one metal leg, so just be mindful of that. The area rugs in the bedroom were dirty, leading us to roll them up since our feet were getting grimy. Walking barefoot around the home isn't advisable due to the floor's cleanliness. We also found some grapes left behind by the previous guest in a few places. Keep in mind that the online photos of the property don't fully capture its true state. Parking is not so good the neighbors block the parking spots with cones and trash cans so get there early. The back door from the third bedroom was not secured enough that I would consider staying here again.Tried to upload pictures but link was disabled.

Clean and cozy

We had a great stay at this lovely duplex. Genesis was on contact consistently from the time we made our reservation. Being close to the trolley made it a convenient place to stay with easy access to the French Quarters.

Great stay!

My teenage daughter, her friend and I came down to New Orleans for spring break and we had a great stay. The house was very comfortable to be in, the beds were super comfy and we had everything we needed in the kitchen. The only surprise was a few insects that greeted us in the kitchen when we first arrived. It was an all around great stay and we would definitely stay there again sometime!

Neighborhood feel

We stayed here on a college tour through the south, and this was our first stop. The property manager was very communicative and kind. We loved that it was away from the main street, but easy to walk to coffee and other spots we might wanna try. Overall, a great stay! You do have to walk through each bedroom to get to the next, so just be prepared that you might not have privacy if you need that. We were with family, so it was fine!

Great Communication

We were in New Orleans just for a night for a quick trip and booked this VRBO. The place had 3 bedrooms for 3 adults and worked out great. The communication from the VRBO was extremely quick and very informative. As not familiar with the area i was a little worried about safety. No issues though.

Loved our stay in New Orleans!!!

House was exactly as pictured. Our host, Genesis, was very quick to contact with any questions. This 3 bedroom home had all amenities our family of 4 needed. It was very nice that our teens had their own rooms. Clean, spacious, great kitchen if we wanted to cook.

Filthy with Roaches Do NOT WASTE UR MONEY

They have a nice house, but it’s very dirty. Some screws were falling out of the bathroom door handle. The furniture was very dirty and there are stains on the couch. I had to go and buy supplies to clean the bathroom the kitchen counters had crumbs on it and the cabinets were filthy and stained. The floors had not been swept or vacuumed and the futon is broken. There’s a block of wood sitting under the futon by the front door to hold it up so we’re not able to sit on it. We ended up leaving 2 1/2 hours after we got there bc the owners were being rude. So we ended up staying at the Marriott downtown. The property manager is no good and the owners are no better. They refused to give me a refund and only would offer to give me back my cleaning fee..

Mardi Gras with the Family

I rented this house to go to Mardi Gras with my mom, sister, and some friends from out of state. My non-Louisiana friends had been to Mardi Gras as tourists before, with all the partying and drinking on Bourbon Street. But they'd never seen the Mardi Gras I grew up with: a family holiday with all the cousins, picnicking on the neutral ground, and trying to get those beads. Thanks to Fernando and his family who own this place, and who invited us to celebrate Endymion with them, now my friends all know what Mardi Gras really is.Of course we went uptown and partied some while we were there, and the house is so close to the streetcar line, Science Coffee, Parkway Poboys, City Park, and so many other New Orleans staples. But more than that, if you're looking for a way to celebrate Mardi Gras like a local, and as a family, this is the way to do it. I cannot recommend it enough.(If it's not obvious, also absolutely safe and appropriate for kids. There's a highschool right by the house, so lots of kids already will be at the parade.)

Close to cable car and easy check in /check out

This house worked great for our family. I didn’t know what a shotgun house was , but my mom and sister did so that was interesting to learn! House worked great for us even with no hallways. It’s on a great location a block from the cable car which was so important during Super Bowl Sunday . Thank you for a great stay!

Great place to stay and be within 10-15 minutes of all the NOLA fun!

We had 4 adults staying in NOLA for early Super Bowl activities. Everything was within 10 to 15 minutes from the house. Public transportation is a block away. The beds were comfortable and the amenities were exactly what we needed. I would love to stay again!

The place was clean and attractive. It's a very old building, but has been upgraded, and more to come. The owner told me next is a new kitchen. We survived the 130 year storm kicking back. Quiet neighborhood. I would go back.

Host was great, communication was prompt and check in was a breeze. But...some issues we had was the bathroom door does not lock or close all the way. The 3 bedrooms are connected, meaning if you are in the 3rd bedroom you have to walk thru the other 2. Other than that the beds were comfortable and the porch cats were friendly:)

Truly enjoyed our stay...The host's hospitality isAwesome, we arrived earlier than planned and reached out to host, they were kind and let us put belonging in and allowed us early check in...cleanliness and comfort of the property, the rooms has alot of space, they assisted with tolley, host was easy to communicate with, respectful, Definitely would stay again!oothlocation.

Perfect NOLA streetcar accessible stay!

We were in town as a girls group and had an amazing time! The neighborhood is super quiet, across the street from a school and safe. The street car is 500 feet from the house which made getting to the French Quarter so easy! The house was amazing - we slept well and felt right at home. We would 100% return and plan to! Genesis is amazing and I would recommend them as a host. Also the porch kitties were such a fun surprise! I miss them already.

Great communication and location

So many great things about this house. Parking in front of house, location was perfect to jump on and off a street car, close to restaurants and farmers market. Genesis was a fantastic host with excellent communication. Would definitely book again!

Overnight trip for Saints game

Communication was incredible. All questions answered promptly and professionaly. Plenty of space and very comfortable with a unique "shotgun" layout. Older neighborhood, rough streets, but that's New Orleans. Enjoyed our stay.

Close to all the action.

My family and I had a great time at this house. The property is very conveniently located. The street car stop is 500’ away. There are great places to eat just blocks away. The house is very clean and everything worked great. The beds were all very comfortable. The shower had great water pressure.
