Although it seems like all the rooms are facing at a slant the ocean, bottom floor will not see it. They will have that beautiful swim out, patio so it might be a trade off. Second floor, and third floor.... we get to see strategically placed palms, and here there a tiny ocean view. hahahahaha I thought it was sort of funny, yet tragic at the same time. Room AC was great, Television service was out 2 days out of 5, but we had WiFi, and managed. The bathroom had no small light in case you had to make a trip in the middle of the night you will be blinded by the light, and the vent was pretty loud too. Our shower had a mind of its own, and went from hot to cold, to hot....also it did not drain properly, and on the 3rd day coming back to room it smelled like urine. Maybe pumbing issues. Room had double sinks, with wobbly fixture, and only the left side had a goose neck, and the right side had a pin trap, and left side was leaking and at times surprised me to step into a puddle of water. Bed was HUGE and comfortable. Room came with a mini fridge empty but room service was PROMPT and exemplary in bringing drink or food. Shows were great, enjoyed them. No elevators. Communication was bad on last day, the room service and I went to the same lobby that was not in operation at 5 AM... The pick up was also arranged to go there as well. Then they had us walk with luggage all the way over to the other lobby. People you need to tell guest where to go so they do not get confused.

The staff definitely made the trip more entertaining! They were so wonderful! My only downside was the food wasn't that great but it was still good

All in all the property and staff were good enough for the location. The meals were OK , but not exceptional. There was not much entertainment for the evenings and none at all during the day. There was no protocol for tipping. However, the main problem for the location is the two plus hour drive from airport My return transportation, (JTL) was a no show and required a $100.00 taxi to make my flight. The Hotel offered little or no reason or information if the ride with JPL was coming or not. This safu has greatly tainted my enthusiasm to book this facility again.

Azul has fun activities and lots of restaurants. The staff is very attentive. The timing and availability of restaurants and activities can be confusing. Be prepared to spend on lots of extras.
