Beautiful beach & ocean, great service, delicious food, very nice amenities. Staff was wonderful & friendly, housekeeping was impeccable! We stayed in building 1 near the spa and it was nice and quiet. Very highly recommended for fool-proof vacation!

Great Hotel

Pros: staff, water sports, beach, pool, night life, drinks
This hotel was great. The look, feel, cleanliness, all was awesome. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I will say, the food was kind of hit and miss. Sometimes it was great, and sometimes it was just ok.

Couples Negril

Pros: Excellent service all around! Tons of water sports to choose from and daily parties/activities going on all the time.
Cons: Not a thing :)
This resort was everything we expected and more! The staff was amazing. From the baggage guys, the housecleaning to the bar service! It was AMAZING! My husband and I had never been to an all inclusive resort and we plan on coming back to this one ASAP! The beaches were beautiful. The very first evening there, we saw shooting stars from the beach. We spent August 2 through August 6th at the resort. It was the perfect time to go. The resort wasn't to crowded but there were enough people around to meet and make new friends. If you go you must try the resorts water sports. They have so much to choose from but the high lite of our trip was the morning and night snorkeling. A must do while you are there. The sunset catamaran was awesome too. Clime on board right before sundown and go for a 2 hour trip with music bar service on board and dancing. They take you around the island to some caves that you can swim through. Best vacation ever!

Great all inclusive off the beach

Pros: I loved the calmness of the place, The staff was awesome, room was always taken care of. The Asian restaurant was great. The sailing was magnificent.
Cons: Accessible snacks,( chips, nuts, fruit, etc.) that you are able to get at off times. There was inconsistency with the food at the buffet and the grill
Location: Not in walking distance to much off resort, but a nice local market was a walk down the beach that had plenty to offer. Cabs available and helpful.
Overall our experience was very good. We went for our anniversary. The area was beautiful and the majority of the staff was great! We did a lot of activities in the short time we where there. We would go there again. We did have a few bad experiences. Since we went there for our anniversary, this was a big deal. I mentioned it when I booked, when we, arrived, and when we made reservations for different activities and for dinner. During our actual anniversary none of the staff that attended to us even knew it was our anniversary. We got a massage on that day that was great, but the staff kept saying we wish we knew it was your anniversary. Also as lovely as the massage was, (and the ladies did a super job) since I did not upgrade to the aromatherapy package, when we got back to the suite we both agreed that we smelled like cooking oil and had to shower again. We also had a bad experience at the reservation only restaurant on our anniversary at dinner. Again there was no knowledge of our special day and they where out of most of the entrees so we had to settle for something else. Our waiter did try to make up for my unhappiness by sending us a cake to our suite for when we got back. Please know that aside from these things we had a great experience, but these things stuck out for us because we wanted everything to be special. We had multiple great encounters with Camille the bartender and received an awesome sailing lesson from Byron. Chef Gary did ice sculpting and was great!

Quiet, intimate resort right on the beach

Pros: Pros: the staff, food, drinks (even had my fave Crown Royal on hand!), room, beach
Cons: Cons: the building and grounds, while kept in very good shape and clean, could use a little cosmetic paint updating
Location: Location was perfect for sunsets and sunning. We didn't leave the resort, so we can't comment on nearby things to do.
We were seeking a quiet, intimate all-inclusive adults only resort, and being fans of the Couples chain, decided to stay at Couples Negril. No regret in that decision at all! The staff at Couples goes out of their way to make sure your stay is unforgettable and never leave you wanting for anything. Bar service was excellent and quick....same with food service. The food quality we'd rate an 8 out of 10 with no complaints. We enjoy nude sunbathing, and the staff does an excellent job of keeping the "peepers" and amateur "photographers" out of the area. The resort provides many activities to choose from, or they simply leave you alone if that is what you choose. This isn't the place to go if you are seeking a vacation with an abundance of nightlife. And we weren't, so this place was perfect!

A place to relax, low key.

If you are looking for a resort that is low intensity, laid back with adult clientele this may be for you. It is small enough to get to know almost everyone in the resort but you can also keep to yourself if you want to. The resort is dated but clean. The rooms are large, clean and free of any musty odors. The air conditioners in the rooms can cause hypothermia they work so well. The food was excellent and plentiful. Your mini bar can be stocked with full bottles of liquor, included. Cannot walk by staff without getting a hello and a smile. Bars served top shelf with no extra charge. Plenty of activities and entertainment. Only drawback for some is that because of the adult population some nights end earlier than in some younger crowd resorts. I have been to Jamaica many times. This resort is the first I said I would return to. Also tipping is not required but very accepted. For the golfers, the free greens fee still cost over 60 dollars with fees and tips. There is no drinking water on the course and if you buy it, it is still room temp. I got heat exhaustion. Book early after the first of the year to get the good rates.

Great Caribbean Stay

This was our first stay in Jamaica and it was VERY nice.  The hotel was well kept and had a slight rustic feel to it.  Everything was all-inclusive and the food was excellent.  The resort had MANY activities that were included with the stay, including snorkeling, scuba, and catamaran cruise.   The staff was very nice and the housekeeping was excellent.  We were looking for a stay with a "tropical" feel to it and we definitely got that from this stay.   The only thing of note is that if you want to leave the resort, Jamaica is a poor country.  Outside the resort is a totally different world and be prepared for it.  The roads after Negril are VERY bad and I would highly recommend using excursion services if you want to get off the resort.  I didn't fear for my safety during my stay or excursions there however. Overall, a great experience and I wouldn't hesitate to go back.   If you are looking for nothing but pampering and expansive food selections, this probably isn't the place for you, I'd say Cancun.  However, if you want the tropical feel and plenty of activities, booze and a good time, Couples Negril fit the bill nicely.
