Weekend in Myrtle

My family and I stayed in a suite at the Palette Resort. Check-in was at 4pm but we weren't able to actually check in until closer to 5pm. The floors were sticky, there was a used towel still hanging up in the bathroom and the suite didn't include kitchen items (cups, plates, utensils, etc.). Tried to call the front desk but the phone was dead and in order to plug it up, a queen sized bed would have to be moved. We left it as is. The location was great. It's right off the beach and the resort comes with 3 pools and a hot tub. It's also a close distance to the board walk.

It would’ve been better to pay all fees up front instead of being hit with $15 fee and then $100 deposit. It’s like I paid for the room twice. Other than that, it was an ok stay. The stove in the room was terrible and broken but other than that it was ok.

The bed was broken. The stair leading to the beach was broken. The glass to the patio door was broken. Did not get a good night sleep the entire time I was there. This should be call a motel install of a resort.

1st room, neither air conditioner worked. Maintenance was promptly called but they couldn't do anything, so we had to move rooms. In this room only one air conditioner worked, but it was enough to make the room pleasant, so we stayed there. Pool was clean, but aged. Whole property could use some sprucing up. Had to park across the street. A lot of drug use within and near the hotel, not a fan. 7.5/10

check in is supposed to be at 4 i got the the hotel around 5 my room wasn't ready until 8(under staff) my accommodation was checking out at 12 which was fine except the room they gave me was not the room i initially booked and i couldn't get the room i actually booked because they were booked up for the night the room was nasty they air conditioner leaked real bad so i cut it off which led to the ceiling sweating from the steam of the shower so it was either allow the AC to drip and mess our stuff up OR allow the ceiling to drip on me and my kids so in all YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR i just know i will never stay at this property again

My room was not properly cleaned. The bed had stains on it. The floor was dirty. I had to go to Walmart and bleach my whole room before I could bring my suitcase in. The refrigerator was not clean nor the stove. I had to bleach both of them before putting my food and beverage in. I seen a roach in the bathroom. I dont recommend this hotel to anyone!!!

Quick getaway on a budget!

The resort is on the older side, but it was clean and comfortable. We loved having the kitchen, so we were able to make our own meals. You can walk to the beach in less than 5 minutes. The only thing that bothered me was the ad says "basic kitchen utensils" but there was none.
