The room was clean and nice and I just told my husband I loved the breakfast options and another top notch thing was that they had a wonderful set up for Navy sailor families to watch the graduation ceremony in a private room. It was wonderful! Thanks Sonesta ES Suites Waukegan for making our stay memorable!

Room was dated, lighting was terrible. 3-4 shades of lighting from different random bulbs was awful. Spider webs in room, couch was filled with stains & to o nasty to sit on. Chairs in the kitchen area were coming apart and dry. Only 1 small trash can and 1 roll of tissue. Breakfast was wet soggy eggs, crusty cereal and the milk tasted like it was expired, watered down oj and apple juice. We asked for clean towels, a room clean, trash and were told we had to go exchange the towels ourselves. Our building was really far from the front and very inconvenient. Toilet and bath was clogged and we called multiple times and they told us to go pick up a plunger and do it ourselves which is extremely wild. Staff members Alexia pretended to get a manager and got back on the phone as herself and claim she was survivor Gianna. We asked for an hour extended check out and were told it was $35 which is ridiculous. I said no because why would I pay them anything after they did not accommodate a single thing for us the entire 4 days, 3 nights. If a customer is saying the toilets and bath is clogged, you fix it. You don’t tell us it’s our problem and we need to go retrieve a plumber and fix ourselves. So after all the days, no room clean. No new towels and a clogged toilet and tub. Walls are thin and you can hear everything. We were in room 108. Towels were dingy and bed sheets were not white. Overall, gross here, so not recommend. Someone tell this owner to do better.

Alexia was the best part of the stay. She really showed great service. I was not impressed otherwise. The garbage was always overflowing. The bathroom floor was gross. The bed were clean.

This was an extremely clean and comfy location and provided the perfect spot to hang out with our graduation recruit during the weekend. I highly recommend Sonesta and will definitely stay here again.

Room was clean. Only spot that wasnt clean was the fridge wasn’t cleaned out, but it wasn’t a big deal. Such a comfy and homey feel. The bathroom is in the bedroom, though. Just if you don’t like that. I didn’t mind it. Breakfast was really good, I only had it for one day as all the other days I had to leave early. Breakfast is from 6/7-9/10 depending on the weekend/weekday. Very easy to navigate around the hotel, theres a basketball court, gym and a computer with a printer if needed! There’s a pool time but it was closed because of the season. I’d love to stay here again if I find myself around here again Not sure about other sonestas. This was great! But, beware the area around the hotel isn’t walkable, but if you want to walk around the small neighborhood you can.

Boot camp graduation

Room was perfect for a bigger family while in Chicago to celebrate for son’s boot camp graduation. Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean. Only negative is that the dining chairs in the rooms could be updated as the material is peeling off and it is then left all over the floor. The couch lacks a little in comfort too. Overall would stay again!

The cleanliness of the room overall, was decent. The pullout bed was filthy. I didn’t like the maze and multiple entryways. I didn’t like the inconvenience of getting extra towels & plunger. I didn’t like that the ice machine didn’t work. The airvent in the bathroom was loud. I wouldn't want to stay here again, but it wasn’t horrible.
