Tall building with ample parking and an excellent gym. Rooms and facilities were clean, however, ours smelt like someone had been smoking there. The front desk said they would refresh the room. They either did not,or doing made no difference. Also, because we booked on Travelocity,internet was at an extra charge. Our stay was fine,we just expected better from a four star hotel.

Regarding the internet, we offer complimentary internet, but there is a charge for the premium internet for all guests, except our Elite Bonvoy members. Stayed at other Westin's it did not compare to those Westin's the room was small needed updating it had no microwave love the pool the bed was amazing needed better pillows but they were soft shower was nice

Westin always delivers

Never had a bad experience at Westin! This visit was no different. Lovely room, awesome bed, great bath products, and one of the best features for us: our dogs stay for free! They even got treats from hotel staff. This hotel is also located in a great area with many dining and shopping options.

Pros: It was the cleanest hotel I've ever stayed in, and the staff was genuine and jovial.
Location: It is adjacent to a beautiful mall, with all the shopping one might enjoy.
I was in the area due to a death in the family, so the kind staff and beautiful hotel were a great comfort.

hotel did not honor booking, horrible service

Pros: location
Cons: replace everyone at the front desk, including managers. Also, a tv that is bigger than 15" would have helped too... get with the times ...
The hotel manager took 30 min to find my booking just to tell me the room was not available. I was told the charge was going to be refunded, and they offered me a lower quality room at a higher rate that i had to charge on my credit card. It was late, and i needed to stay unfortunately. I find out days later that no refund was issued, and the hotel claimed to Travelocity that I did use my booking and they would not issue a refund. in the end after threatening to report this to my CC company, they agreed for travelocity to refund. The staff is lazy and clueless. Cut out more to work at a McDonalds drive through than to be in the hospitality business ..

Two words: Heavenly Bed

Pros: the starbucks in the room, the lotion, the ability to borrow gym clothes, and every little need could be attended to
Cons: the ONLY thing I could have improved was the tiny squeak of our bathroom door.
Location: We stayed in Lombard, outside of Chicago and were situated right next to the mall there which was very convenient.
Our stay at the Lombard Westin was absolutely perfect. We are not particularly picky guests, but enjoyed the Heavenly Bed and Bedding so much! Haven't slept this well in a hotel EVER! Didn't get to use the amenities around the hotel as much as we would have liked due to our schedule, but loved the idea of being able to borrow work-out clothes and shoes to use in the fitness center. The complimentary bottle of water was also nice and the starbucks in the room complete with real creamers was nice too. Like I said, not a real picky guest, but the little things mean a lot. The white tea aloe lotion smells divine. Would definitely consider making Westins my new preferred hotel! Very luxurious!

Nice hotel!

Pros: Everything was crisp and clean, typical Westin standard!
Cons: n/a
Location: This hotel is in the same parking lot as the Yorktown mall. The hotel shuttle took me to the mall because it was raining however, I simply walked back
Staff was very friendly. Hotel very clean. Free shuttle service to nearby restaurants and shops. However, the hotel happened to be hosting a conference in which 2,000 people (the concierge provided me this number) convened in the lobby of the hotel making it impossible for us to reach the front desk. Security had to come to the entrance doors and escort us to the front desk then back to the elevators. Otherwise, our stay was pleasant.

Expect to pay for every little incidental!

This hotel seems to be top notch. You walk in, the lobby is beautiful, you walk in to the rooms and they are very nice too. HOWEVER, then you get stuck paying for every single little thing you could ever want. There are amazing restaurants in the area, and Harry Carry's attached to the hotel. Don't expect to take any leftovers home though- even after paying for your $50 steak from Capital Grille you will then be expected to pay another fee to rent a fridge back at the hotel. Going to a reception for a wedding? Can't have drinks while you get ready, unless you want to pay a fee for that fridge to keep your beers cold. And most likely the fee is more than that pack of six cold beers you brought to sip on. I have never heard of a hotel doing this before.
