"Wait until renovations are completed!"
We had stayed at this hotel previously in October, 2015 for our daughter's wedding, and then booked immediately afterwards another suite for my niece's wedding in January of 2016. We were unaware of the renovations that are currently underway at the hotel--no letter or email was sent.
To make a long story short, we had booked a Suite/Whirlpool suite, but we did not get that room. I'm unsure if there is NOW a Suite/Whirlpool suite, after the renovations, but we certainly paid for it. I will say, that our room looked nice, and modern, with new carpets, but it didn't make up for the terrible parking arrangements. Only one elevator seemed to be working in the whole hotel, and the construction workers caused the fire alarm to go off at least two times while we were there--one time in the early morning hours of 6:30 am on a Sunday, and then loud construction work went on after only a few short hours afterwards. We had 3 people staying in our suite, my husband and I and our youngest child (12), yet we were given only 2 bath towels, and 3 hand towels? There is a small place they used as a makeshift looking dining room, where they gave us a $20 coupon. The food was mediocre at best.
It's a great hotel, but I definitely paid too much for the room--it's not what we were expecting. I would suggest to wait until the Spring, 2016 when the hotel is completely renovated...unless you enjoy long elevator waits, and walks in the stairway carrying luggage.
