Great Mission style property within walking distance to downtown Monterey. Classic retro motel with many upgrades. Highlights are room decor and amenities, year-round, heated pool, Spanish Tapas restaurant serving good breakfasts. Staff are very attentive to all your requests. I will stay there again!

Pool was dirty and room was terrible. It’s super old and outdated. Smelled like undried laundry. No ventilation so the entire room was muggy every time we showered. We turned the heat on for a bit but had to turn it off because it also smelled.

The property and spa were great! Great location, good staff However my masseuse was sick, and while paying 250$ for a massage he inserted a cough drop and coughed and accidentally drooled on my back but the massage was great so I’m not sure how to feel but don’t make 70+ year old employees work when sick !
