The property is beautiful, everything around is in walking distance. The rooms are very nice and clean. The only issue I had was the shower. It was not draining fast enough and would over flow. And the staff I had dealt with during my check in was great. Saturday evening I extended my stay. Instead of checking out Sunday Morning I would check out Monday Morning. The women I had spoke too Saturday evening explained it was $180.00 to extend to Monday. I gladly accepted and went about my night. Then Sunday morning I get charged $305.00 to my card. We called and went back and forth with the front desk. The gentleman at the desk said the woman I had spoke to Saturday evening is a new employee and it was only her second day. Respectfully I told him how is that “ My Fault” ? After a few minutes of going back and forth we got the $180 price instead.

Sink faucet leaked. Housekeeping needed to be called to clean the room. Housekeeper set the alarm clock at 6:00 am on two occasions. Stayed at this hotel many times over the years but this was by far the worst service I’ve had.

Great hotel, great staff hotel was a little musty, weird smelling, but after being in the area, I think it was the bushes. We are not from the area so it was all a little different overall great places to stay a wonderful staff!

Very easy to walk to town, or wharf (about 1.0 mile). Very easy to drive to Pacific Grove, Carmel, 17 mile drive etc. Rooms were spacious and the bed - I had to look up the mattress it was so comfortable!

Always a consistent stay. Pricing is fair compared to rest of town. Clean, friendly, quiet and well kept grounds. Friendly staff from front to behind the scenes. I recommend to everyone.

This is my experience. On Hotels .com they are rated a 9.2 star. I expected a 9.2 star hotel and did not get that. The outside of hotel is very charming. Why I gave them a 3 star overall is because they charge $17 a day plus tax for parking…ON THERE PROPERTY!?!? I guess I have never ever experienced that before. Why don’t they just add that on the room rate? Second reason which is a big one for me is I told the young lady at the front desk about 8 am, our mini frig is making a loud noise like the compressor is going out. This happened thru the night unfortunately. I couldn’t unplug because I had food in there. I told her and she said she will let someone know and they didn’t change it by the time we got back at 4 pm. I called front desk and they never got the message. They had it replaced immediately which was appreciated. The young man when we checked in, gives 9.2 stars for that hotel.

We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Munras. We stayed in a Junior Suite, with king bed and pull-out couch. It was a nice big room that accommodated our family of 4 very well. There was a nice "kitchen" space, but didn't have any plates or utensils, which would have been helpful. Also, no microwave, so couldn't heat up leftovers from the restaurant. Overall, we liked the property and would stay again.
