Disgusted to say the least. My boyfriend and I were having a great time until I saw these. We had already slept in this bed when they started coming out of the bed from every direction. They were crawling over our pillows, coming up from the sink, in the corners clumped together. Our housekeeper asked if we had the door open, trying to make an excuse for BUGS being on our pillow. By the way, these bugs appeared even after having our room turned every single day. I paid thousands of dollars for this resort and this is what we get. I am also extremely disappointed in the response time from the customer service team. Doesn't seem like the front desk even cared to help us. We were told we needed to speak to the Director but he was "not around". We have spent hours on the phone trying to find ANYONE who can help us and no one cares. We just keep being tossed around to other people. I really wanted to like this place and the experience could have been great. Save your money.

Very efficient. The only complaint I have is about the beach chairs and umbrella. There is a sign on the way to the beach saying in very large letters that two beach chairs and one umbrella was complimentary. My daughters went to the man who was in charge of them to get the chsirs. He told them that they were not free and he was very rude. Apparently, on the bottom of the sign., said in order to get them free, we would have to $49 in food. Now, I would call this deceitful.

SECURITY ISSUES

Pros: it was on the ocean. decent pool.
Cons: ALL staff need customer service training. The hotel needs to fix their registration system. I did not feel safe a this hotel.
Location: South Beach Restaurants Ocean
My husband and I stayed at the Miami Beach RIU with our son on Saturday, March 31. I travel extensively for work. I plan large corporate events and work with properties all over the world We arrived at 10am and stored our luggage with the bellman. We knew we were way to early to check-in but stopped at the front desk to let them know we were there. We filled out all of the registration paperwork and were told that they'd email us as soon as a room was ready. They never contacted us. It took us 6 hours to get our room. Kevin checked me in. We retrieved our luggage from the bellman (very confusing, they weren't going to release our bags to us even though we had the ticket they gave us when we checked it) and went to up to the room & someone else was already checked in to that room. We went back down & spoke to a young woman at the desk & she gave us an upgrade (they did not have any rooms left so no choice but to give us the upgrade), gave us the keys to room 836. We hauled our luggage up and again there was another family checked in. The room keys worked at both rooms and we could have stolen whatever we wanted. We went back down at this point are very irritated. We asked desk staff to please take our luggage up to the next room and check it to ensure it was empty. They didn't. The girl (whose name escapes me) acted like a 12 year old child. She was irritated that we were upset & got angry with us, wouldn't look us in the eye, just basically threw threw the keys at us.

Great location, great hotel!

We stayed this past weekend with our two kids ages 6 and 2. The hotel is nice and is right on the beach. The pool was very warm, which was great for my kids. We would definitely stay there again.

WORST EVER!

Pros: NOTHING!
Cons: EVERYTHING
Arrived at 5pm only to be told our room was not ready even though there was a large sign indicating 3pm check in! Valet rude, staff clueless, no service, nobody took our bags let alone open any doors. Room old and beat down with two cheap towels. will NEVER go back! WORST EVER!

Great Hotel, Valet not so much

Cons: Valet service, I made the mistake of taking my own car there.... Expensive enough one would think the car is taken good care of. Scratch and dent.
I would have probably given the hotel 4-4.5 stars, most of the staff is friendly, helpful and attentive, but the valet service has a lot to improve on, last day when I received my car from the valet, other option is curb side parking, it had a dent and a scratch on the door, when I asked about it, the valet said "somebody must have banged it with a door", spread his arms, walked away saying, "what are you going to do about it?". Lesson learned, I'm not going to do anything but mention it in my review and hope "dent remover guy" and a buff will make it go away....

Had a great experience :)

Pros: lovely hotel and friendly helpful staff
Cons: I just wished it was closer to the shopping areas. But the walk wasn't too bad.
Location: the beach was right behind the hotel. Restaurants and small shops were within walking distance.
I would definitely recommend this Hotel to family and friends. The staff was very helpful and the Hotel was very lovely. Pool area was very nice and up to date . Rooms had a modern look and huge showers.. Which is a PLUS! We booked our hotel from Saturday and checked out Monday afternoon. But our flight wasn't until 9:45PM Monday night. When checking out we asked the staff if they could hold our luggages at the hotel, since we had a later flight that evening. We didn't want to luge everything around town. They offered us a complimentary shower room. Which meant we were able to leave our bags with them and reserve a free room. When we got done with our site seeing for the day, they would have that room reserved for us to come back to and shower and get ready before our departure. Which was such a relief for us. Since we spent the entire day hanging out at the beach. It was nice to have a clean room to come back to and shower. I loved that they offered that to us!! I would stay here again :)

Beautiful hotel, right in front of the beach. Howevere they dont have a parking lot so you have to pay $30 per night to have your car brought to you and parked. Other than that the hotel is wonderful, i would defenitely stay there again and highly recommended.
