"Nice, quiet hotel right on the beach"
The hotel itself was a little outdated but very nicely kept. The room was huge and very clean. The rooms were a little outdated as well but very comfortable and accommodating. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful and 99% spoke very good english. The food was pretty good and the service was very prompt and friendly, exactly what we wanted for our all inclusive stay. The atmosphere was a nice mix of families and couples. If you wanted to get rowdy there was a little excitement at the main pool but also a quiet pool for relaxing. The only downside for me was not being able to swim in the pacific ocean, which was the beach front to this hotel. The sea of cortez was only a short walk away though.

"Friendly staff excellent food solid choice!"
Stayed 5 days 4 nights at the Barceló in late August. My wife and I was looking for an all-inclusive package along the beach; away from the hustle bustle of Cabo San Lucas but within easy access by car. The Barceló fit the bill. Our room was well appointed and spacious. If you can I'd highly recommend upgrading to a Club Premium package, which gives you access to the Premium lounge (great for grabbing a quick drink or some goodies) and unlimited restaurant and bar access. I'd also recommend a trip up the tower to catch the view. The breakfast buffet is outstanding with a nice variety of Mexican and American dishes and the restaurants, particularly Las Olas, were very good. The pools were warm and clean, and the evening shows in the outdoor theater were well run. But what stood out the most was perhaps the friendliest staff we have ever encountered. They tolerated my bad Spanish and Eduardo, one of the valets was particularly helpful in giving us tips on things to do. Would recommend to anyone.

"First class resort"
Excellent concierge service. Limited ocean view. Would visit again as the price is reasonable. We were traveling with two other families and the other two got upgrades.

"We love Villa Del Palmar"
We have stayed at Villa del Palmar several times and have enjoyed it every time. The location to the beach and downtown Cabo is perfect. The staff is always eager to help. The rooms are very nice and clean, just a little on the older side, but very comfortable. We would recommend this hotel to anyone.

"Great location!"
This was our fifth stay at the Rose and we think there is no better location.  It is walking distance to the Marina and downtown area and the beach is swimmable.  Last year we felt the resort was tired and needed updating.  Our room was better this year and they had done some maintenance and updating on the grounds.  I did notice some areas of the Spa that needed some updating but they were minor.  Overall it has been a fantastic place to call home away from home.  Everything is clean and the staff is very accommodating.

"It will be even better... if they ever finish the place"
I had read some earlier reviews so I knew to expect the time share pitch. It was fair, 2 hours of our time for 2 free massages and $100 for Javier's (excellent food). I had also heard about construction. What's puzzling is they are only half finished with the main entrance and lobby they started tearing up the jacuzzi in the middle of their beautiful pool for "renovations". I sat in the thing the day before and it looked fine.I didn't see any work being done on the front. Regardless, the jack hammers started on Monday at 10 and went until the day we left (Thursday). We got used to it after awhile but still kind of annoying. Other than that, the rooms and staff are great. We lucked out (or they knew it was our first time) and got a garden view on the second floor but could see the ocean and shore break anyway. I think most of the of rooms on the 2nd floor would see some water. Not a lot of selection in the market and prices are high but it was cheaper than eating at the resturants. Since they all have kitchens, it was nice to have some basic stuff for breakfast and late night snacks. They do have $3.50 tacos on Mon, Wed & Friday from 11-5 that were OK to good. Happy hour 4-6 had 2 for 1 cocktails for $8 Free, wired internet in the room but you should bring an Airport Express or other small WAP. The wi-fi coverage at the pool was spotty at best.

"Good hotel in the center of CSL, nearby shops."
I actually liked it. You didnt have to feel like you were on an island or isolated from the surrounding attractions. You can eat at the hotel or not. I liked the fact that you could go to the restaurants and eat there. The rooms are average, nothing to write home about but it's comfortable. Food - I think it is unique to have restaurants that must also cater to the public as well. I didn't feel like you needed to tip to get good service. The waiters were nice, the food was ok to good. Again nothing to write home about but everything was all inclusive. Pool - small but enough. closes down at 630 so at night it was really quite, this is GREAT for folks at the hotel. Internet - Free in the lobby, must pay if inside the room. Timeshare - I actually didnt get much of a hard sell from the property. Beaches - short walk to the beach, very doable. Security - Yes very secure and felt safe. Downtown - Easily accessible, walkable, facny luxury mall right next door.

"Luxury hotel with 4 sister hotel chains"
I loved the most of staff more than the hotel. Don't get me wrong it's a luxe hotel but the location wasn't ideal for me. It's more for retired or an older crowd who want to stay in every day all day. It's far from the downtown area where all the shops and restraunts and people are. I hated the fact that you can't swim in the ocean bc of the dangerous waves. I later was relieved to find that the other 2 sister hotels do allow guest access to the ocean and have more ambiance so need less to stay I only stayed to sleep at Pueblo Bonito Pacifica. I do however loooove the mornings in PBpacifica bc the breakfast bar has my favorite cook, Yesenia ! That lady is always happy and joking and makes your omlett delish. She was the first person to brighten my day ! Then there's the waiter in the morning Victor, he is sweet and cordinal and takes care of his guests needs and wants on the spot. And for dinner there is Gregorio in the siempre restraunt who is Awsome and very cordinal and goes out of his way to make your evening special. That kid is Awsome. And I liked the waiter at Pescados restaurant (sushi) he gives great dish recommends and was pretty funny :) sadly I don't remember his name. And there was a Pablo (bartender) @ PBBlanco and he have us the 411 for nightlife activies. Pablo works really hard and efficient, he ran circles around the other guys. I came back to the bar the next day looking for him but he wasn't there. There are people whom like what they do and it def shows.
